If you are still in your past capacity then I assume you know more then I do... but he seems to be asking if he can upgrade, move to a 2GB plan and not go share plan. He should beable to if he was already on a nationwide plan. Moves between nationwide plans seem to be allowed.

Most of Puerto Rico is included in the Nationwide and America’s Choice Coverage Areas. If you roam out of the Nationwide or America’s Choice coverage area, you will be charged $.69 per minute. Please use your device's banner as an indicator of your roaming status. Click here to view the approximate coverage areas. Did you even bother to read the page? 8O

As was stated, the increase in arpu will come from increase in data useage across more devices. I have no inside knowledge on the new data plans but maybe its best to wait till they are announced before we throw VZW under the bus? ""I think revenue ARPU [average revenue per user] will continue to grow as we get into data share plans and people start to connect more devices [on the network]," he said, according to the ...

 if you took the time to read the original press release you would understand that this was the CFO speaking to investors about where new income will be coming from. VZW will not be raising prices, but they will see increased ARPU from shared data plans and that consumers continue to use more and more data. The sky is not falling.

http://www.fcc.gov/guides/wireless-devices-ai rplanes "Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules prohibit the use of cellular phones using the 800 MHz frequency and other wireless devices on airborne aircraft. This ban was put in place because of potential interference to wireless networks on the ground." Maybe check your facts before telling someone they are wrong? im not saying its not possible, just that its not allowed by law.

haha no wonder AT&T has such poor service, they are shooting service 6 miles into the air. :) Also i hope you were not on a public flight within the US because thats a big no no according to the FCC.

While not likely.. it is deff possible.. My best friend was a VZW cust that was sold to AT&T because of the FCC mandated divestings. There were maybe 20 (don't quote me, I don't remeber) rural VZW markets that vzw had to sell and just as many if not more alltel ones.

That still may not work. When they are filling out the request for the FRU/CLNR it asks the rep what ESN they are returning. So if the ESN he returns does not match it could be an issue.

$200-$500 you wish. More like $650 or $750. (16G or 32G) The full retail price on the phone. They don't screw around when it comes to people trying to rip them off.

Like Carrier IQ? Anyway, while I agree with you on some points. The people on this forum are on the top of the mobile world per say. A lot of people do utilize those apps, and the carriers get paid for including the apps. The more they get paid, could mean lower subsidized prices. Unless Sprint is dumb (unlikely), the carriers are covered under their T&Cs. Here is the VZW part where its covered. "My Wireless Device Your wireless device must comply with Federal Communications Commission regulations, be certified for use on our network, and be compatible with your Service. Please be aware that we may change your wireless device's software, applications or programming remotely, without notice. This could affect your stored data, or how you've programmed or use your wireless device." http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2 c/globalText?textName=CUSTOMER_AGREEMENT&jspN ame=footer/customerAgreement.jsp

VZW will have LTE in 145 markets by the end of 2011. Last I looked, 145 is greater then 15; but I never was great at math.

Ya.. It has to do with the BSR (Better System Reselection) and the built in 2-3 min wait before the device rescans for another network/tower. Pain in the butt but I guess it is what it is right now. They say it is that way to preserve battery life. :paranoid:

I'm pretty sure that there never was an issue going from 4G(LTE) to 3G (EVDO - Rev A). There is/was an issue going from 3G up to 4G with the USB Modems, not sure about the thunderbolt.
