Marshmallow bugs at least on S5,S6 Verizon, Speech to text, voicemail when power saving is on If you have power saving on the following will occur (at least on Verizon-I tested it with diff phones with Marshmallow). -Speech to text with power saving on will not recognize "new line", "new paragraph" among other things. -When someone tries to leave a voicemail you will get an error in pull down menu. Error is 9007. And no voicemail will appear. If you then turn ...

Need volume control for mono corded cell headset 2.5mm (can adapt if 3.5mm).

:o Need volume control for mono corded cell headset 2.5mm (can adapt if 3.5mm). I have an over-the-head single ear headset with boom type mic for a cordless home phone handset (does not matter if cell or home). Phone uses a 2.5mm adapter. It is mono (one ear) and has a built-in mic (boom). Earpiece volume is much too loud even if I lower headset volume on the phone itself. I bought a Plantronics headset that had built-in volume ...

Motorola W755 every time I turn on it says "software update" for 15 seconds

Motorola W755 every time I turn on it says "software update" for 15 seconds Took out battery Checked firmware with verizon rep-said it was the latest. Checked for update via phone info "check for update" selection. No new update available Did a *228 a few times (1 and 2)-no luck. Verizon said they can hard reset my phone but then they have to transfer over pics and other things and I will lose my custom ringtones. I do not feel like hacking into the ...

Took back about 8 months ago, got replacement phone, same muffled sound through phone, through bluetooth, through USB connected headset. Oh well. Perhaps it is the people I am calling and the network they are on or perhaps it is Verizon somehow... Oh well Will get a new phone sometime if I find one I like. Thanks Peter

Oh boy does it have a horrible keyboard in my opinion. Played with it for about 30 minutes at ATT store today, it was already on the shelf. Really wanted to like it. Was ready to switch carriers to get this phone. Keys are so flat and flush. Thought they could have done better. PC

Need comments on Motorola W755 sound Verizon Got phone and it works okay. However while other people can hear me fine, their voice sounds muffled. The muffled sound occurs regardless of using just the phone, phone with wired headset via USB dongle, or phone with bluetooth.. Anyone else experience this? Anyone recommend another phone with Verizon with decent battery life (or I can add an extended battery), good sound, easy to push buttons??? I could always change carriers and I could always wait ...

What are best dimensions to send pics to W755 Motorola Verizon phone

What are best dimensions to send pics to W755 Motorola Verizon phone ----------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- Just got W755 phone. Too bad BITPIM will not work with it. Too bad you have to use 2 programs MPT (at update dialog) and then P2K to manipulate add ringtones and pics. I am pretty computer literate but Verizon locked this phone and I really do not want to mess with 2 programs plus the USB drivers. I found the best way to send ringtones was via ...

Correction to above-#2 Could save sound sent to phone as a ringtone. I picked phone model W490 at Pohnezoo since W755 is not listed. Perhaps others work as well. #1 never let me do a Save or Set a ringtone. ****Still looking for other options-simple, perhaps with data cable and 1 piece of software (not 2 or 3). ****Also hhow do I backup the phone contacts and other info like oyu can in BitPIM, perhaps Phonetools but I hate to spend the ...

Motorola W755 sending ringtones - How on Verizon Using Verizon... Perhaps someone can help me. I used to have an LG phone and used BITPIM and to send pics, ringtones (renamed as Mid and hertz and BPS changed so it would work)....and it worked well... Now I have a Motorola W755 and have read that BITPIM will not work with the phone due to VZW locking out certain subdirectories. I then read you can use perhaps Phone Tools or P2kCommander and another tool ...

Can u make text (font) size larger in Contact List? A few other questions..
Dec 4, 2007, 4:09 PM
in the Apple iPhone forum

1. I do not own the phone yet but all I read is that you can change the font of emails. How about contacts? 2. Also is the phone officially locked without a hack so you cannot download Smartdial or a better voice dial program than the $5 a month ATT plan.. No new hack to unlock for 3rd party apps? 3. Finally would you wait for the new IPhone or buy one now but who knows all the features or small ...

Played with the I760 for about 30 minutes. It was decent however the keyboard keys to press to correspond to the command s on the bottom right/left of screen are of course in a strange location. But it will take some getting used to. CUSTOMIZATION?: Can one change the home page to display perhaps just the apps or shortcuts they use? I would probably only use IE, want to get to contacts and dial phone numbers?? VOICE DIAL?: Is there a ...

No one believes me and I do hope I am wrong. Spoke to VZW rep on phone this past week. I then went to a diff store to speak to another rep I personally know. Both said the 6800 was taken off the 2007 list and by all the info, it will show up in early 08. Hope it is not true, but heard it from 2 stores and 2 different people. We shall see.... Messed with Samsung I760-decent phone ...

Heard from local Charlotte Verizon rep that the VX6800 is postponed to early 08 due to quality control issues. I know nothing more. he said the Voyager LG VX10000 is still set for 11/21. Perhaps someone already posted this info and I apologize. Thank you Peter

Too bad, Wi-Fi would be nice so you need not use up minutes or have to buy a data plan if you are so inclined. In looking at Phone Scoop it had a dash where Wi-Fi is, which to me indicates it is missing. Peter

8925 on website but not in my store????
Oct 8, 2007, 4:02 PM
in the AT&T forum

Am in Charlotte, NC. Rep sad he had no idea. This is rather annoying. Perhaps we might get lucky to see this unit and the VX6800 soon. Hope they have a nice data plan for the 8925 but I am not holding my breath. Would be great if they all had data plans like the IPhone. Since this unit has no physical dialing keys on front, I guess you can smudge up the screen with your finger while in the ...

Well I guess I am stupid. I looked at www.verizonwireless.com/next and assumed that the countdown timer indicated when the 4 phones would be released.. Well dumb ol' me. It is when they are announced, per the salesmen in Charlotte, NC. NOT when they are released. But I guess most people knew that except me. I mentioned the 6800 and he seemed to be frustrated with the fact that Verizon was providing no info on the true release of that phone. This month, next, ...

Duh.. I should have done that comparison by checking the boxes. What a dope I was. Sorry Anyway, it is interesting (Or I may have it wrong) as CNET states the Sprint Mogul (not Verizon's version yet) has 256mb of memory. http://reviews.cnet.com/smart-phones /htc-mogul-ppc-6800/4505-6452_7-32471386.html From http://www.laptopmag.com/Review/HTC-Mogul.htm I read the 96mb is for the phone and the remaining 192mb is user accessible memory. Not such a favorable review unfortunately. Seems speakerphone could be better for the Mogul/XV6800 and processor speed to name 2 features. A few reviews ...

August 10, 2007, Charlotte, NC Went into large local Verizon store and asked if they could show me a list of upcoming phones since my company and I are interested in the Vx6800 Mogul/Titan. They said they had no list (who knows?) and said they did not anticipate seeing this phone for a few more months from what they heard. The salesperson also expressed disappointment but also did not know that Sprint carried the phone. Now of course the salesperson ...

Thanks so much for correcting my mistakes and increasing my knowledge on this. I was typing in URLs so it was difficult to type them in. But after a while most things would be bookmarks. If they used HSPDA, I would have bought one today. But then again that is one of the more important features for me-not necessarily for other people. Thanks Patty

I am sure everyone knows the below. Like to see if others feel the same way or perhaps correct some issues or errors in my comments re iPhone -Hard to type without hitting wrong keys. Will take practice of course. Perhaps it is me being late 40's. Do not have stubby fingers. I doubt you could be a fast typer but may be over time. -Must press hard on screen at times. Not a big issue. Just wipe screen at times. ...

Text Size when composing a message
Oct 2, 2005, 2:25 PM
in the LG V VX-9800 forum

Well my eyes are not what they should be but even with glasses the text is so darn small when composing a message. Another poster wrote this and I confirm that it is the one thing that stopped me from buying this phone. Even with the font display setting on LARGE (unless there is a hidden setting for composing (or reading messages) the text was so small. The other thing that prevented me from buying it was the inability to ...

Perhaps I am just slow in finding this out. However, if you go into messaging mode and instead of selecting a contact or keying in a pone number; try keying in a full email address. Then type your message and hit send. It worked for me and sent to both Yahoo and RoadRunner. The next thing I am trying to find out is how to add MY OWN message object to the phone so that I can attach it to an ...

Yup, pressing OK after you change the volume with the side keys did indeed work. Never saw it in manual at least where I looked in the manual. Next question is if there is a way to change the tones when the phone is powered on and off? I only note you can turn tones on and off for this but not select them.
