iPhone for GPS and Traffic?

iPhone good for GPS and Traffic or dedicated device like a Garmin? Also, can you speak an address and have the GPS display the location? Thanks!

Well if you know what an iPod touch is, just think bigger screen.

You can do a side by side comparison here at this site. You will see that the 'S' model has a faster processor, more memory (both help with games) and better screen protection. The other features mostly come with newer software which you can add to the older model(s).

A newbie question: I use a simple GMS (factory unlocked) Samsung phone now with an ATT Simm card (pay as you go). Would like to consider an iPhone 3G and would use it mostly for GPS, photos, Wi-Fi. If I get an unlocked 3G model can I simply insert my present or another ATT simm card? (I called ATT and was told I had to go to a store to find out). Thanks in advance for your input!
