Warning to all Sprint mobile users: mysterious phone calls from 865-6696 may install NSA surveillance code on your iPhone
Can anyone confirm this? Have you or anyone you know received such calls?
texting with Samsung Galaxy S2
When I send a text message to more than one contact, all the recipients see the other recipients. This wasn't the case before. What happened, and is there a setting to BCC all recipients? I can't find it.
Sprint LG Rumor on Virgin Mobile
Can anyone tell me if they've set up an unlocked LG Rumor on Virgin Mobile. I know that Virgin is on the Sprint network, so why shouldn't a Sprint branded LG Rumor work with Virgin Mobile?
Samsung A840
I'm thinking of getting this phone to replace my A680. If you have experience with this phone, I have a few questions for you.
Does the speakerphone mode have noise cancellation? Will it work well in an automobile with backbround traffic noise?
Does the external LCD have options to display analog clocks and/or screen saver images?
Have you synchronized this phone with Outlook or any other PIM on your computer? If so, are you also able ...
snap dialer
I have a Samsung A680 with Vision through Sprnit.
I'm thinking of getting a product called Snap Dialer through Futuredial. Has anyone on this forum used this product with Sprint?
I'm already paying for web access with Vision. Is this worthwhile, or should I just get a broadband account separately. I have a Toshiba notebook I intend to use it with, and it's WiFi capable. What are my options?
Re: Phone Goes black/turns off?
This is normal. You can adjust the time the backlight stays on before fading in the settings/dispplay/backlight menu. This is all to save battery power--much better than having it on constantly. Sipmply touch the volume button to get a glimpse of the time.
BTW I love the fact that there are three setting for the "analog" clock on the outer display.
Re: ringtone
Yes you can download and play MP3s on this phone; however, you do have to pay for them and the sound from any MP3 on a mobile phone sounds awful. Best to stick with the polyphonic ringtones.
Re: 9550
OK, I'm planning on buying a phone through Amazon (they've got an $80 rebate offer on it good through tomorrow), but who sells the data cable? I haven't found it anywhere on-line. I've found cables for other Audiovox models, but searches for both "Audiovox 9550" and "Toshiba VM4050" have been futile.
I'm not looking forward to entering 200 phone numbers, and I don't want to upload all my contacts through Sprint's website with 'vision', though I'll ...
9550
I'm considering buying a 9550 or 8910 with Sprint's service. I do not intend to pay extra for the vision service or anything else if possible.
With a data cable, can one:
1. synchronize contacts
2. download ringtones
3. download pictures/video
...or can one do any of the above without paying extra for vision?
Is it possible to customize the graphics in the menu or LCD screen in front? For example, I noticed the picture of the 8910 has an analog looking clock. ...
Re: Can web functions be turned off on an A500?
I got an answer to this question yesterday.
Simply customize the keypad so one cannot accidentally use the browser with one push of a button. This does not disable the function per se, but makes it difficult to do by mistake.
Can web functions be turned off on an A500?
Can you lock out web functions on a Samsung A500 so one cannot turn on the browser?
I'm with Sprint and any time I get on the web with a phone, there's an extra charge.
Can images/ringtones be uploaded with a data cable?
I'm going to get either a Samsung A500 or an LG 5350. Is there a way to upload images, ringtones and contact information with a data cable hooked up to my computer rather than downloading through the web? It's cumbersome going through the process of creating a file then uploading it to my phone through the web when I should just be able to use a data cable.
Not to mention with Sprint, I have to pay each ...
Are LG mobile phones no longer carried by Sprint?
Did Sprint decide to do away with LG phones altogether? My Samsung A400 died recently, and I am using a really old phone until I can find a good new one. I'd like to get an LG, but saw none at the Sprint store.
