Re: Dear AT&T Reps

Customer goes in store and says I want this phone and that's it. Usually stores are limited to phones in stock and if a customer is directed to walmart or target it is because they want the stock for new customers.

If you cancel within 30 days it is expected that you return the equipment (phone) in good working conditions subject to a restocking fee where applicable. There is no termination fee but there will be monthly recurring prorated charges including activation fee. In the event the phone is not return the company will charge you the full retail cost of phone minus any amount you already paid for at time of acquisition.

iphone unlimited data
Apr 12, 2011, 11:10 AM
in the AT&T forum

This post is in response to "Iselltheshitoutofphones iphone unlimited data plan" post. Yes the unlimited iphone data plan is available. No you don't have to be a manager to add it. I don't know if it is a COBC violation or not that's the discretion of some manager above you who either likes you or dislikes you. Unlimited iphone plan is enveded on to POS and not OPUS. Why? I don't know. Who uses POS? Third party vendors. Read any articles related to ...

Sep 21, 2008, 11:31 AM

The company will charge you the $175 early termination fee plus has the right to collect the $200 phone subsidy. I have seen a few wise customers returning to our store with final bill on hand including the $175 plus prorated charges, then a month later with a confirmed final bill that includes any subsidy phone fees. AT&T has a department that checks service cancellations along with phone returns. This is not an automated process so it might take up ...

It is true that snooper has an option to get the subsidy code but not all phones' imei are loaded. Before all customer service representatives had access to it but now it goes by levels hence tech has it.

Jun 29, 2006, 3:45 PM

I workd at a call center in Los Angeles and have been trying to be xfer to a store closer to my home as traffic is getting worse by the day. I believe the best sales persons come from call centers due to inside knowledge of systems and processes.

Media Max $29.99 ???
Mar 14, 2006, 5:05 PM
in the AT&T forum

What the heck is Cingular's marketing department doing? Website is advertising services and features not available for sale or in system. Media Max $29.99 2500 text, Unlimited MMS and Media Net. I was next to a rep who took a call from a person who wanted to add such MediaMax $29.99 package and we though he was wrong...We the rep went to the Cingular site and found such package advertised but not in the system or not available to add through online... It ...

Re: Question about IMEI #s' and cell phone theft!
Feb 19, 2006, 5:52 PM
in the AT&T forum

Yes, it is possible to track down an IMEI. Simply put the terrorist caught in Spain, Italy and England were tracked down by a combination of IMEI and SIM information. Fact is that companies have specific departments and personnel to do such tasks but are not available to the public or even lower rank employees within the company such as customer care reps and annexed departments like supervisors, managers, and technical.

Re: The game has changed at Cingular.
Feb 15, 2006, 7:41 PM
in the AT&T forum

Those changes come from former ATT management who want The New Cingular to move up on ratings for customer satisfaction. Cingular has always been ranked lower than 4th place for years. Customer care reps now could make a decition to provide more than $50 per year for whatever purposes.

Re: exchange policy
Jan 7, 2006, 7:47 PM
in the AT&T forum

When a phone is purchase at a own/operated Cingular store the exchange for a different make/model is possible at same point of sale returning complete phone (charger, paperwork, box) in like new conditions (minus shrink wrap) and original receipt within 30 days (including same day purchase as day 1 and weekends and/or holidays). After 30 days Cingular (or any other carrier)has no obligation to exchange as they only provide the service and simply facilitated their real estate for customer ...

Re: why do you have to sign a contract at all
Jan 7, 2006, 7:33 PM
in the AT&T forum

The reason companies want a commitment is because they have to report to investors. Having a stable and soluble income is the greatest indicator a company is doing well and by such investors influx more money to the company thus it can expand either more services or network. That is the main reason Cingular and Verizon don't file for IPO because they will turn like ATT wireless. Right now the companies have big parents with deep pockets that in the ...

I just bought a tictalk and the service is also provided by Cingular. I'll look in to this phone as it is CDMA a much more stable and robust technology than GSM. I activated the tictalk and like the way it could be configured but the ringer is low and also the speaker not to say that calls are scratchy, garble, static and cut in/out due to poor Cingular network. Don't take me wrong. I work for Cingular but in Los ...

Re: are you kidding me... you must work for Cingular too
Oct 9, 2005, 1:35 PM
in the AT&T forum

There are many store employees, supervisors, and managers who are rude and happen to work for Cingular. Just because they are Cingular employees it doesn't mean they are not to be rude. I have seen same employees working for dealers and own/operated stores many times. Point in case employees at Cerritos, CA mall one weekend I saw them working for the company kiosk then about 2 or 3 weeks later were working for a dealer and others for Verizon. Same people different ...

I just read a thread of good rep who makes lots of $$$ which is turning to be a big liability for the company and perhaps will be out work. I work in the Anaheim call center. I was a blue rep and have 2.5 years experience...good experience...I believe to be worth 100 future reps. This is what I mean. Re: Direct Numbers?
Aug 9, 2005, 1:27 PM

There a few former ATT now Cingular call centers that have 800 numbers and you could enter the 5 extension of rep you are trying to contact. I know my call center 800 number that when a customer calls even without an extension will be the next person without any wait to the next representative. This is how my wife calls me (for emergency purposes) directly or customers that I need to troubleshoot their phones but I can't call them at ...

Re: Cingular Price Match?
Aug 9, 2005, 1:16 PM
in the AT&T forum

NO! is the direct answer to your question. Why? will most likely follow. Because it is illegal. Cingular Wireless and most carriers have contractual agreements with dealers and third party distributors (either service or equipment) plus government entities that protect smaller competitors from been push or absorbed by the corporate entity. If you carefully read the clauses in the contract with such vendor of phone in simple terms says: account number with associated telephone number provided by XXX vendor must be ...

Comparing side by side in same location and time the Nokia 6200 has much better reception than Mot v3. The v3 has reception but is garble or static versus the 6200 clean and stable.

Re: SIM cards "Non Orderable"?!

It probably is a system error. Yesterday I couldn't see customers' bill using the GLUT and heard another rep her Siebel login had been revoked.

I'm blue employee converted to orange and have prepaid "orange". The last time I put $25 worth of minutes was June 03 and according to my usage I have about $5 remaining balance. I certainly don't need the phone much and save tremendously rather concentrating on my 401k that I see growing about $50 average per day on its own. I am using a Nokia 6200 (blue and unlocked) with 64K 410 SIM and works fantastic. Not once a drop ...

Re: 32 bit and 64 bit sim cards ??

The ENS is a phone software part without it a 64K 410 SIM is useless. Believe it or not the 64K 410 SIM card works well stabilizing connectivity. I know that because I am using one and not once have I had a dropped call or static call. The other day I took a call from an unhappy customer. This customer was frustated claiming his service was riddled with dropped calls and had phone replaced once (Mot v180). While on the call there ...

Re: If I joined Cingular...

Wireless carriers DO NOT offer warranties of service or coverage even when they charge customers for it. IT IS CLEARLY STATED ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The phone has a LIMITED warranty (not including battery nor charger or any other type of accessory) against manufacturing defects for a 12 month period not including those sold on the black or gray market.

This is a good question. I know someone who wanted to download a ring-tone from such service but wasn't sure about the charges that might be incur. I read the terms and conditions listed on a magazine but wasn't clear at all. I then told this person to check it on the web site but again there is no specific information about what the charges will be other than $1.99 to $2.99 and four weeks agreement of minimum service??? Can someone shed ...

Re: Question about refunds
Mar 20, 2005, 8:43 AM

It depends!!! If phone was purchased at a company owned, the customer might return the phone within 30 days for full refund minus the upgrade $18 fee. If phone was purchase at a dealer place then their terms and conditions might differ from a non refundable processing fee and re-stocking fee.

A person who makes that much money in such little time will spend more time trying to make more money rather than spending it here at this forum. I remember before September 11 when I was selling on eBay I was always lurking all over for things to sell.
