Re: Verizon Towers
VZW also goes by Cellco on legal filings, so you might see see that as well... You still might see Primco as that was a company vzw swallowed up in the MidWest.
Re: VZW discounts list
out of date
Re: what I don't get is.....
most reconnect anyway :) they're allowed to
Re: 13,000 pissed off customers. Ouch!

Re: Canada + Includes Data? Is my rep Smoking?
I don't think so, unless you have a PDA and they gave you Americas Choice + Calada with Data (extra $45).. You can use txt messages in Canada tho. :)
Re: hmmm. I love rumors!
ummm, Store Greeter isn't that high on the list :) Tho if he is related to a Exec I don't think the exec would say anything.... can you imagine the nightmare this would be to merge? Won't happen
Re: This Is NOT Something New for Verizon
Before you were able to go up and down in minutes w/ in your price plan. But say a new promotion price plan launches, now you're able to switch from your old price plan to a new promotional price plan with no contract extension date, before you had to extend at least a year if you had less than 12 mos.

Hey who let the know-it-alls in here? :-)...

on mobilr email, how often can you set it up to go check for you? I as never sure on that. Can you do it like every hour? And if you are on the phone or using the web or somthing will it still go check, or does it just do it through text.
There is only one option, yes or no to alert you. I think it's every 15 mins.
Not sure about being alerted while on the phone ...
Re: Voyager question - Mobile Email Clearification
I'll tell you that txting on the phone is super cool!
Re: Really???
Take a flat state like Nebraska. For argument sake say there are a total of three thousand people evenly spread throughout the state.
You can cover the whole state with 4 properly placed and tuned cell towers. With those 4 towers each having 3 sectors and 6 carriers you can probably cover a few thousand customers without capacity issues.
You can push a cell signal as far as you can, just like radio stations do, just depends on what ...
Re: Voyager question - Mobile Email Clearification
I possess the needed credentials to make that statement.
Thanks
Re: Voyager question - Mobile Email Clearification
Actually it's not free on the iphone, you need to pay for the data plan! Premium plans with VZW include mobile email. Also the Voyager will have Mobile TV, turn by turn navigation, HIGH SPEED INTERNET, you can download music over the air, FREE Music ID.. I mean really the Voyager is a great great phone.
Re: Voyager question - Mobile Email Clearification
Wireless Sync is basically like outlook, stores contacts, emails, calendar and syncs with your exchange server.
Mobile Email is JUST email, it will check POP Mail, webmail and others, it does notify you when new messages arrive. It's a good tool, I use it with my personal and work email and it does the job.
Re: Really???
I don't think they have more cell sites.. Maybe more coverage due to the fact they can blast the signal of the towers, covering more land. They can do this because they don't have the number of customers as att or vzw and not worring about over loading the network.
Re: I just had to comment
Buy a phone at retail price and you don't need to extend your contract. Problem solved
Re: Why does at&t NEED to buy customers?
Read between the lines plzzz... when cing bought at&t they had 9 mil more customers than vzw... now (cing) at&t has 1.5 mil more customers than vzw... they're not going to come right out and say it, but a larger base was a big factor for sure. It's all good tho, its 1.7 million more customers who will have access to the network with the fewest dropped calls. :D
Why does at&t NEED to buy customers?
hrmmmm 1.7mil for 5.1bil -- can't they just earn them fair and square?
Re: How Does Verizon Define "Unlimited" This Time?
Cingular regulates your data usage too... sorry buddy
Re: Why do Verizon's phones lag behind?
KRZR, 9400, 8600, EnV etc etc etc, dude have you been to a vzw store lately? The phone selection at VZW setting the pace for other carriers.
Re: zzzzz sprint
clearwire
Re: zzzzz sprint
There is one company in the US deploying and using wimax right now... and they are wellll ahead of sprint :) Sorry guys sprints not the 1st.

I just wish verizon realized how much people text msg! Whatever new text plans they come out with if its not unlimited then it really falls short of what allot of ppl want. LOL i think vzw knows just how much people txt message. Seeing how in November of 2006 they set a company and industry record of over 5 BILLION messages in a month.
Re: how many numbers do you guys have saved in your phone???
481 right here, about 200 of those are for work tho. :)
CUZ PREPAID IS WHERE THE MONEY IS----
ya know, low churn high ARPU, lots of data... CHA-CHING!! wow watch that AT&T stock soar!!
ACTUALLY CINGY ONLY ADDED 861K

So really you can thank Tracfone and other branded users... again guys, not a big deal, of the 2.4 MILLION adds, Cingular will only send bills to 861,000 -- thanks and have a nice day!
Re: Poll: Who is actually going to buy this phone?
I might buy it if I can get it unlocked and activate it on T-Mob!
Already on the front page on Cingulars website...lol
.. I mean hello it's not coming out for 6 months! I guess this is the ONLY thing Cingular has going for them..
Besides that, phone looks cool, i wonder what the battery life will be like and how it holds up to being dropped and the typical cell phone abuse.... also will wireless phone protection be available on this device... so many questions!? oh well more to come eh.
KNOWN ISSUE -- THERE IS A FIX
Just have the phone flashed at your local vzw store. thanks
Re: LL Cool Jake, UR totally wrong...
:) it's okay, learning something new can be exhausting. Sprint caters to those who have little, no or bad credit.. mostly those who are uneducated.
LL Cool Jake, UR totally wrong...
Right from the vzw website:
UNLIMITED DATA PLANS AND FEATURES
Unlimited Data Plans and Features (such as NationalAccess, BroadbandAccess, Push to Talk, and certain VZEmail services) may ONLY be used with wireless devices for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access (including access to corporate intranets, email, and individual productivity applications like customer relationship management, sales force, and field service automation). The Unlimited Data Plans and Features MAY NOT be used for any other purpose. Examples ...
Re: Date leakage
omg u people are crazy.. of course there is something the store manager can and will do about it.
Re: VZW LINK THAT WORKS!
there is coverage, it's just analog, and most people these days have all digital phones.
Re: VZW LINK THAT WORKS!
I'm not sure how to make it more simple for you..
vzw covers more pops than sprint.. vzw has native coverage in 49 Of our 50 states. The only state vzw does not have native coverage in is Alaska. The only State vzw can't offer npa-xxx is Alaksa. Are you picking up what I'm putting down home slice.. lol, oh jk. Anyway, thanks for playing.
Go ahead and study the layers and protocols for x.25, ATM, Frame Relay and ...
Re: VZW LINK THAT WORKS!
Then according to you and Sprints map, Sprint doesn't offer service in 50 states.. likewise, it's your story.
Re: VZW LINK THAT WORKS!
Footprint and Coverage are one in the same. Both Sprint and VZW have a national footprint, Vzw has a larger national footprint than Sprint. With roaming agreements both companies cover the US well.

the orange is what is vzw's actual owned network. Look at WY, CA, ID, MT, ND, SD, NM, AZ, CO, TN, FL, NV, UT, NY, PA, OH, IA, IL, IN, MI, AL, GA, NC, SC, ... I'm seeing a lot more coverage there with VZW than sprint..
It's not your fault however, Sprints map has the city names so HUGE covering the whole map to make up for the lack of coverage.
Re: i'm new to vzw...quick question
yes, bring an unlocked (GPS) CDMA phone and you can activate it on VZW.
Re: i'm new to vzw...quick question
