To make it worse, the Verizon 270c had the Bluetooth adapter locked-out in firmware. You had to mail it off, and have it flashed with the generic Motorola firmware in order to get it to work...

Yes, the batteries that come with the T608 are very old, and if you replace it with a brand new BST-25 you will see battery life triple at least...

It does work, but there is a workaround posted at www.sprintpcsinfo.com you need to follow.
