Well said and thanks! I love Sprint...Been a customer for over 8 years....I have the Hero now it kills me that others I know use the EVO but when I can upgrade, I am sure there will be something else bigger and better! :)

How long has this been going on? Maybe when I got my Hero the guy could have told me this. I still have my old Blackberry and a couple other of Sprint phones laying around. I liked my 8130 but see no need for it in the future.

I have some clouds with certain HTC wallpapers but other then that no. I was being sarcastic bluecoyote, I read the article. Also, the Hero came with 1.5 not 1.6 to begin with.

Some guys posted that link on Sprint's facebook page. It probably has gotten blown up. It took me about 4 min to download it at like 400 kb/s

Okay, just wanted to check. I was getting about 20KB/s now it's like 8...

Any big issues with the 2.1 update for the Hero yet?

Take a chill pill. It will be here soon enough. I would rather them delay then give us a crap 2.1 update with many flaws. Does having 2.1 or 1.5 really make all the difference in what you can do with your phone? I know there are fixes and live wallpapers with it but relax man!

I hope it is soon. I am not sure how much those reps know though. I want the update to be right though too. I don't mind the wait as long as it is a good update.

I did not get any text message saying the update was available. I check firmware updates about once a month just to see if maybe it was out there. I figured why not check it out on one of the days rumored to have it released on. It was the first time I have ever got anything different then No Update Available so that does indeed give me hope!

I wanted to try and see if May 7th really was the date so I checked for firmware updates and instead of seeing no updates (like normal) it came up with a screen that says "The firmware update could not be completed. Please try again later. If the problem persists, you may need to contact Customer Service Error Code:1012"...What is this????

What no more NFL Mobile? I am quitting Sprint right now... Wait...Woo...How much fun is watching a football game on a screen the size of your phone anyway? Plenty of alternatives out there. Verizon loses for paying so much for it.

I had a Blackberry 8130 before my Hero and I really didn't mind it. The Hero is so much more of a "fun" phone which is what I was looking for. My girlfriend has ATT and she drops my calls often when we speak. She always calls back and apologizes for her phone cutting out. I can't wait to get her on Sprint when her contract is up!

This made me laugh while I am also at work. I like to go by the mall and talk to other carriers reps and let them think they are closing a sale then pull out my Hero and tell them I just signed a new contract in January. I love Sprint, my girlfriend was trying to get me to switch to ATT and I told her there would be no way in hell that would happen. And if that ...

Have had mine for about 4 months and I have no such problems. It will delete a text thread of 1000+ messages without too much difficulty. Maybe you just got a bad one...I love my hero
