I dont know if this is important to you but if you get a unlocked phone mms will not work properly. What I mean by this is you will be able to receive pics but the file size of the pics will be extremely small like 4k or 12k.Also you will not be able to recieve video through mms. This is because the phone you are using is not supported by cingy. If mms is not important to you ...

Ur lucky I had the same problem with my w600i. I was roaming in mexico and all of a sudden my phone showed the weird numbers u described. I called customer service and they sent me a zx10. Like u the w600i was my favorite phone I ever owned probably because it was different than everything else that was out there at the time. I think the razr is a good idea for a ten yr old because arnt the phones only $50? thats the price of a video game,a date, or gas if you have a suv. I say give the kid some quaters and teach him how to use the pay phone.
How much better difference does the extended battery on the blackjack make talk time?
I bought a blackjack and love the thing. I was just wondering how much difference does the extended battery make on the phone? Does it doubble in talk time? As soon as I figure out how to open the battery cover Ill try out the extended battery. (im a noob)

if your a t-mobile carrier and all you care about is cool new phones..Then why dont you buy a phone unlocked and use it on the t-mobile network? I comlain alot about cingys phone selection that was untill I buy my phones unlocked and now I have a large selection of phones to choose from. Im currently using the k790a on Cingy's network. Just look into unlocked phones from third party websites if this doesnt work for you ok.

Ok im not a fan boy of any wireless carrier but each of them has strong points and weaknesses:
Verizon-no unlimited text,no tech savy phones,Phones are harder to hack into.
Pros: the network
Cingular:easy to hack into phones,easy to swap phones. Cool phones
2nd best network
t-mobile:can use any gsm phone on t-mobile network,cheaper price for monthly plans.
cons:smaller network
sprint:can roam on any cdma network,rev-a,works well in rural areas.
cons: sprints actual network is small

May I suggest getting a unlocked phone through some website? All you have to do is make sure you have the settings for MMs and wap and you are good to go. I was like you a few months ago I was looking to get the w810 through cingular but never knew when they were going to release it so I went online and got the phone delivered to me imputed the settings and I was good to go.

I have a w810i unlocked with cingular service. Every few times im on the phone for a long period of time I get a loud disconnection sound but my phone still shows that its connected. Is it my phone or the network?

The difference between this and using opera mini to sign on is a few reasons.
1. You can upload photos to the site(you cant with opera mini
2.It sounds from the article it is alot easier to add friends,post comments and blogs.
3. You can search for people in your area(this is another thing you cant do using opera mini.

When I call my friend who has edge wireless(its a divison of cingular wirless who resides in Northern california) we can talk for a few mins and then I get a bussy signal then I hear dead air and the call is basically dropped. I want to know whats the deal because it only happens when I call her and no one else.

NO, theres not a quadband version of this phone. Another reason I didnt think there would be a problem with reception is because my friend bought a sk65 off of ebay and it does not have a 850mhz band and he gets reception everywhere in southern California.(He lives a mile away from me and is also on the cingy network.)

Why dont you try to imput the settings in the phone yourself. Theres plenty of sites that will give you the settings to be manually set into your phone.

I have a e70 and when i use the html browser it says shutdown some applications because memory is low. Im trying to figure out what applications its talking about. Plz help me out because i have no clue what to do and to make it worse this is my first smart phone i came from a w810i. I went to nokia's site and they suggested I delete some messages but still saying memory is low.

I got the e70 version 2 so mine came with he 850 mhz. I tried the set up wizzard and it did save the settings but i couldnt get online or send mms. I actually called cs and told them my phone is similar to the e61/e62 and he gave me the settings over the phone.

I did the research and got a phone that uses both cellular bands in the U.S. all i have to do really is set up mms and wap settings and I can get those online, so what function of the phone will not work? Whats surfing the web like on the sk3? i read the device reformats websites for the sk3. i have a w810i and use opera mini to surf web pages so as long as the sidekick internet is as good as opera mini ill be happy. sorry for the long response but im really interested in sk3 web. irnt it true the t-mobile works in most populated areas? on the sk3 can i save music sent to me through email?

So i got the w810i(question about memory stick formatting)
So i bought a unlocked version of this phone and was wondering when i right click a folder to check the memory status of the folder a option shows up to format my memory stick. Why would i need to format it?

Dont worry, you can go to sonyericsson.com and look under the support tab and sony will send the settings to ur phone in a text message.

My question is when I get the settings sent my phone will the text,mms work or will I have to do more configuring myself? Why is my moms old nokia 3390 that only operates on the 900 mhz band has a better signal than alot of my current phones such as the (w600i,zx10)? I ask because im considering getting a phone using the 900mhz band.
Is there a way to turn off predictive text?
I actually prefer free hand with predictive text turned off. I use alot of slang and jargon in my emails/ text is there a way to turn off predictice text and t9 and just type the words out.
