Re: Ignorance.
I couldnt have said this better myself.
Re: NVP Discount
This is extremely unethical and I am surprised a sprint employee would try to help someone get over on the company you work for.
Re: How do I block texts??
There is a much simpler way, do it from the phone. Send a text message to shortcode "9999" and in the body of the text type the word "block" then put the full ten digit number of the person you want to block, no spaces or punctuation in the number. If you wanted to block me, and my phone number was (704) 268-1689, the body of the message should say
Block 7042681689
You can do this for up to 50 numbers. ...
First Half 2011?
That obviously means the last week in June
Re: It's the price of the plan...
Got to be careful when giving incorrect information. On a shared plan the primary line must be $99.99 or higher. Individual lines must be $69.99 or higher.
Re: smh
They are allowed because the cell company makes a lot of money off them, through agreements that they have. Of that $9.99 charge, about $4.00 goes to the cellular company. If the cell company has to credit the charge, they also submit that back to the content provider to get the money back. The only downside to the carrier is dealing with the customers fussing about them, but the millions they make apparently make it worth it.
Re: Iconic phones soon to be available on the legacy SERO plans
The $10.00 buy-up is in fact NOT for 4G. It is for premium unlimited data that the EVO and Epic will consume. Yes, they are 4G capable devices, but the charge is for the fact that these device use much more data.
Re: Well said!
Its always funny to me when customer state they are willing to renew their contract to get what they want. Big deal, the company is still making up the money on the current contract you haven't fulfilled. Why would this be attractive to the carrier? You are asking them to take even more losses on you.
Re: so does this mean....
If you think thats all its going to take and BAM! its done, you sound like an ignorant customer and you are setting up this other customer to be very disappointed and frustrated.
Re: Ok really
Oh Look! An internet bully! How cool. Maybe this is the first one who isnt some little twerp hiding behind a keyboard who would get his A$$ kicked as soon as he actually tried to spit crap like this to someone's face.
Re: ONLY 2 EVO's have been exchanged in our store out of 350!!!
How many times are you going to spam all the forums with the same post? You try to say you are not biased, but your bias is showing by your insistence on posting the same thing over and over
Re: sigh @ the battery
Its the worst when a customer actually calls in to complain about battery life and demands an exchange. They get fully educated and dont care. then they go through 6 smartphones and say that the phones are made poorly
Re: Okay...
That's how I like some women, LOL
If You Keep giving wrong information over and over, someone will believe you.
The $10.00 Add-On according to Sprint is not for 4G service, its to ensure that there will be the bandwith available for this data hog of a device. It gives you unlimited data whether you use 3G or 4G.
Re: Where some of the "Wimax is not 4G" confusion comes from
That was a good post. Assuming that is all correct, thank you for keeping us all well informed. I never understand why people have to "hate on" another company. Its in everyone's best interest that all companies continue to improve and remain competitive.
Re: Incredible smokesssssssssss the droid
Details or are you just giving random "facts"?
Re: Blame it on the assclowns of the wireless world
He was definitely being sarcastic
Re: Advanced Billing Question
Don't be ridiculous. Are you upset that you pay your rent at the beginning of the month, when you haven't lived there yet? No because you are billed for your contract services for the upcoming month, same thing the wireless companies do.
Sprint Customer Service Sucks..........or so I am told.........
So,
Customer escalates issue and tells me that her son hasn't used services for the last three weeks so it isnt fair that she should be billed for the month. Hmm....there apparently was nothing wrong the the phone or service, her son was just "so busy he didnt use his service" Further investigation on the account shows that there was significant usage the first week of the billing cycle, but there was little to none after that. The customer requests ...
Re: Or they could do auto plan...
Sprint tried this with the Fair and Flexible plan for voice. Unfortunately, they moved away from it when they realized they could make more money on overages. But it would be a great idea for data
Re: what if the limit was 100gb?
I get the point you are making, lol. 100 GB is an absurd amount though, and anyone using that much is purposely trying. I have ran my playstation 3, Wii, and Laptop with all the downloads and video streaming I want (not ever watching the meter) and the most usage I have ever used was 36 GB.
Re: NOW
Yikes! Retail? I am thinking it might be about $600 retail.
Re: I wonder how much it'll cost
Not sure about that Menno. When the Instinct and Pre were announced, pricing was not revealed until 2 weeks before launch.
Re: I wonder what Verizon has coming???
You never know Menno, it might be only $399.99 MSRP.
Yeah right.
Re: "Another Shame for T-mobile"
 He wont acknowledge the nonsense.
Re: Hmmm...I wonder...
That plan he quoted doesnt exist. The Sprint basic 200 plan is $29.99. For $39.99 you get 450 minutes, nights at 7pm, unlimited weekends, no roaming charges, mobile to mobile included. It sucks when people give misinformation.
Re: Sorry AT&T but
What smartphones on other carriers are 2G?
Re: Increase?
You're right. You would be allowed out of your contract. Your reward? Going to another carrier that is doing the exact same thing. So the only thing you would have accomplished is having a way out of your contract, but you didnt manage to avoid the thing you are complaining about.
Re: Increase?
You are going to whine about an increase of less than a dollar a month? A minimal increase that actually benefits the country as a whole and not just your sheltered view and limited area?
People always scream about no increases in taxes, fees, etc, but they want everything to improve too.
Re: Then Why Not Motorola?
This would be a good point if it wasnt completely made up.
Re: What do you think the result will be??????
This is how it should be with all carriers, so you don't run into having to "prove" the usage, or validate charges. Unfortunately, the companies make so much money on casual usage that it is worth it to them to deal with a few "disgruntled" customers.
Re: What do you think the result will be??????
Correct me if I am wrong, but T-mobile and sprint dont have mid level devices that require a mid-level data plan. Or i guess they dont matter because they aren't big enough or are losing customers.....
Re: Great
Might want to brush up on policy and procedure there pal. You are giving out incorrect information.
Re: Supersonic or other Android coming to Sprint... WHEN!?
1st half 2010
Re: Supersonic to launch
:-)...
Re: Well....
You have a great post, and I agree with you. The one thing wrong is that other carriers do have in house options to exchange devices under warranty without sending them to the manufacturer. Sprint has the "advanced exchange" program. Sending to the manufacturer is the absolute last and worst solution because the customer is without a phone during that time.
Re: MIFI
Re: No subsidies IS a desirable end.
But why force people who can barely afford the price of these phones to pay that much? Az, you are forgetting that the average Phonescoop member DOES NOT represent the average cellular customer
Re: Sprint changes Surcharge Fees - GET OUT OF YOUR CONTRACT NOW WITHOUT A EARLY TERMINATION FEE
You obviously have some beef with sprint, and have moved on. Why post the same thing three times?
Re: 1/1/10 OPPORTUNITY TO CANCEL YOUR SPRINT ACCT WITHOUT ETF
Stop trying to spread misinformation. The previous guy was wrong. Sprint's right plan promise was actually effective 11/2007, where plan changes no longer affected contracts. If you have a legitimate beef, a customer care rep or even a retention specialist could have easily seen your contract extended incorrectly and fixed the dates. But of course, you are lying.
