First off, I have a Note 4 and Note5 here and both have fully functional charge ports. As do many others I see. Secondly, it's not plastic. It's metal and glass. As was last years S6 series phones and the Note5. A full metal body isn't the be all end all when it comes to construction of smartphones. It's scratches far too easily. The Note 3 was updated to Lollipop, yeah? You should be able to use Google Wallet now if it's running Lollipop. The Lollipop update effectively killed Isis/Softcard.
