My HDMI cable (Verizon) used to work when connected to TV. Now TV not getting signal and phone not going to "remote" screen. Only HDMI setting is format and have set to Auto. Phone says no HDMI cable connected. Help! PS: know of any good video players? Stock player bites.

Great feedback from Android Central: Nice to know that it isn't a SD card issue, App issue, or a hardware issue. Froyo should fix it and a bandaid is supposedly the 3-D gallery app.(?) So bizarre that it doesn't like the pics taken in the month of August! Think I'm just gonna use horizontal scroll until Froyo. http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorol a-droid-x/32378-gallery-crashes-when-scrollin g.html

ugh again. My pics haven't disappeared...yet. The vertical scroll no longer works properly. Anyone know the best place to seek Android tech support/advice/suggestions?

Gallery scroll crash

As I scroll through my pic gallery (vertical tile layout), after a few swipes, the screen goes black and goes back to the gallery menu. When I do the same but using the horizontal view, no problem. Thoughts? Anyone else experience this?

blue light & blank screen

Latest weird behavior (there's been a few) is on incoming calls the screen is blank, only vibrate, blue light comes on and stays on after person terminates call. Only way to clear blue light is to make an outbound call. Thoughts?

Video player is terrible. Anyone know of a good app to replace it? I apologize: Not sure if this is an android forum topic or if the player is unique to Droid X...

7/15 purchase

Want to get one on 7/15 but don't know best method. Didn't want to go through Best Buy & don't want to experience the iPhone cluster F*#@ sales process. Any suggestions? Will Verizon do online advance orders? Going to store waste of time unless I'm first 50 customers? Thanks!

Google Apps Premium (the one that includes full Outlook functionality) costs $50/year. Not concerned with finding the right Verizon plan...just the right phone.

I need a phone that will sync with Outlook like my blackberry...but can do web and other tools well (blackberry does outlook and calls really well and that is it!). I like the idea of Google Apps but wondered if there's another solution that won't cost me $50/year.

thanks for all the feedback! I love the google calendar so moving to google apps would be great. But is the $50 a year for the service the only way to go? Other solutions out there?

Outlook & Android: leave blackberry?
May 8, 2010, 10:15 AM
in the HTC Droid Incredible forum

Considering jumping from blackberry but rely on Outlook sync. Already using Gmail so no worries with email but Tasks, Notes, Contacts, and Calendar. Can I sync them with the Android platform? Also, Incredible seems just that but at end of day I need a phone...you know, the talk function! Is clarity and signal strength good because seeing some very mixed reviews? Thanks!

should I leave blackberry for Android phone?

Was gonna get the new Bold when it comes to Verizon but specs on these phones are great & friends love them. Only concern is email: can it compete with Blackberry in speed and usage? And can you have multiple email addresses? And I assume that an Android phone would be a much less expensive plan to the Blackberries? Thanks!

Articles says the soon to be released 8530 is their "low-end" BB. Aside from crappy camera, what else is low-end? Has the new pad, wi-fi,... Do I wait for Essex and why?

Don't love touchscreen so not sure if Storm is for me. Anyone know when Verizon will see a BB that has similar features (3.2 megapixel, wifi,..) but with keypad and optical pad (goodbye trackball)?? Does it have a name?
