I know all that. Problem is, as I stated, the new phone actually gets WORSE battery life, even with a larger battery AND the benefits you mentioned. I unplugged my Photon at just before 7 this morning, so about 8 hours ago, and I'm already at 20%. That's pretty typical for me, and I've hardly used it for talking, minimal web surfing, email, and using the calendar. Not exactly heavy usage, hardly even moderate. But at least I can ...

Slightly larger battery, same size display, but 25% less talk time vs the Photon? And it's a real shame to see Motorola follow the poor standard being set by the other phone makers with an integrated battery. I have to switch out batteries in my Photon once every 1-2 days, as it can't make it through an entire day with anything more than minimal usage. Poor move Moto. And the display on the Photon was probably the most common ...

One thing I do love about the HTCs. If only they could get their screens and customer service right...

Granted, I am somewhat OC, but it's just common sense to put the charger on the bottom (even the side, as annoying as it is, is much better than the top) so you can talk on the phone with it plugged in, without having a cord sticking up then bending down. Oh well, guess the wait for a replacement to my Hero continues.

Really Samsung? Putting the charging port on TOP of the phone. Wow. Just, wow. Do they even think when they're putting these together? I was semi-interested until I saw that, but no thanks Samsung.

While I can somewhat see the logic in that, I would argue that the flash on an actual camera is typically only good to about 15-20 feet, and the flash on my Dare is good (not great, but it at least illuminates and allows me to see what's in the picture) to several feet. Furthermore, many times I need/want to take a picture of something anywhere from half a foot to a couple feet away in low light, where ...

In two separate reviews I've heard it referred to as an "HTC mini USB port," and it doesn't look quite like mini USB. Hopefully it is, but it just doesn't look like it. Not like it would stop me from getting this phone if those are the only two negatives with it, but it's still disappointing.

Why would they put such obvious effort into making what looks like an almost ideal phone, and then do something ridiculous like not include a flash for the camera. Also, they are kind/smart enough to make the headphone jack a standard 3.5mm, yet make the charging jack proprietary. WTH HTC. Still looks like the (almost) perfect phone for me tho.
