Apple can f**k off

So something looks a little like their overhyped iPhone, who cares?!!!??!? You don't see Google getting all pissy and suing Apple for ripping off their notification system do you? RIM isn't suing Apple for copying BBM which has been out for YEARS... Everyone is going to come out with something that is similar to something that is already out, it's called competition. If you are going to act like a 4 year old girl about it then you shouldn't ...

They will probably counter sue for trying to sue them, and claim they have a patent on suing.

1. The phone had no lag when I used it, it was just as fast if not faster than the Nexus. 2. Any smartphone's battery will die fast when using data regularly including the iphone and palm pre. 3. AT&T's 3G may be slightly faster where it is available, and is practically non existent on a map of the US, which is by no means worth paying $40 more per month to use. 4. You can easily turn off sense.

I've gotten some time with this phone and I think it fits perfectly fine in the pocket of my pants. And I clocked 4G in my area at 5.6Mbps.

I wouldn't worry about it... knowing how Verizon is with their handsets they'll probably f*** it up worse than Sprint did.

I'll second that, when I had Verizon, their map said I should have had full 3g broadband in my ENTIRE area but yet I couldn't even stream a youtube video without it pausing to buffer literally about every 4 seconds. And to think, I was paying more to put up with that...

in the Article: Verizon Responds to FCC On ETFs and Data Fees forum

The extra $40+ a month they are overcharging their customers to have the "expensive" devices is more than enough money to cover the cost of the phones. It doesn't look like Verizon is losing too much money to me... Next excuse please.

in the Article: FCC Taking On Verizon's New ETF forum

The few people in the country that are stupid enough to try scamming them like probably have a history of being unreliable and would have to pay a $400, $800, or $1000 deposit with Verizon, which would more than cover the cost of the phones... You have to have pretty good credit to get approved with Verizon without a deposit and most people that have good credit intend on keeping it that way.

Dec 4, 2009, 9:37 PM
in the Article: FCC Taking On Verizon's New ETF forum

There has been a steadily increasing number of people that are fed up with Verizon's ridiculous prices, and Verizon knows it. And what better way to keep customers from porting out than to scare them with an outrageous ETF. The whole "cost of phones" excuse is BS because their earnings prove that losing money obviously hasn't been an issue for them thus far.

Nov 26, 2009, 11:41 PM
in the Article: Verizon Challenges Sprint's 'Most Dependable' Ad Claims forum

Seriously, Verizon needs to cut the BS, Sprint could have attacked Verizon about their "best value in wireless" ad because Verizon is actually the worst value in wireless being that they pretty much rob their customers... Sprint's rate plans make Verizon's look like a joke. I guess Verizon is just pushing so that no one else is allowed to advertise unless they say "don't buy our product, because Verizon is the best" and plus Sprint roams on the Verizon network ...

Yeah it does, but working in the business you would be surprised at how many people you try running credit for that had an outstanding balance on a previous account that they just decided not to pay anymore.

I think Verizon made the move to try and keep people from porting out to get a better deal and used the whole "people canceling and selling phones for profit" excuse so it wouldn't sound bad. I saw a chart from an ATT rep that showed port ins from other carriers and the number of people porting from verizon was through the roof, topped all other carriers by a landslide. Why would they have to do this to keep ...

in the Article: Sprint Says No Change In Its ETF Policy forum

Verizon just couldn't live with the fact that they were the most expensive in every department, EXCEPT ETF's. They seriously must possess some kind of brainwash device that they put in their phones to make people like them so much and defend them the way that they do. I talked to someone the other day that had 6 lines through Verizon with unlimited everything, and she was paying $1200 per month and thinks Verizon is awesome! I seriously felt ...

in the Article: AT&T Sues Verizon for 'Map for That' Ads forum

It's still misleading, if you see all red at your house you would expect good service. At least ATT will show you "fair, better, best" so you have an idea of what you're going to have. And looking at the broadband map, instead of all red, (real big shock here) it's all blue in the same areas as I mentioned previously, I don't consider dial up speeds to be equal to broadband... And as far as the "not guarenteed ...

in the Article: AT&T Sues Verizon for 'Map for That' Ads forum

Verizon paints their entire coverage map red leading people to beleive that they have full service with 3g speeds everywhere. Even in areas that you get 0-1 bars with dial up data speeds. This is the case at my house, my mom's and my gf's parents. You constantly drop calls at all their homes, and in a lot of cases the coverage is so poor that your phone won't even ring if someone calls, and data speeds are slower ...

in the Article: Groups to Back Ban on Cell Phone Use in Vehicles forum

I think the best solution is to put together some kind of test to see whether you are actually coordinated enough to do it. I can operate a phone and drive perfectly fine, but some people can't do it to save their life. I don't think I should be penalized because of someone elses lack of coordination. And plus, coordination is an excuse the cops will use to back up the fact that they always drive while on their ...

This is the most annoying thing about this law, you never see a cop drive by that is not on their phone!!! If these groups are so adiment about banning cell phone use while driving because "it impares you" then they should be going after the cops too. They say it affects your ability to drive, but last time I checked, cops aren't cyborgs from outer space!! They are human and can cause accidents too! And I'm sure it ...

Like I said, people are crazy, that's why. Who on earth would want to pay $10 - $60 per month more to get less advantages, less/slower service, and get overpriced junk phones? Everyone I know that has Verizon pays an ungodly amount for the service they have, and have to replace their phone every 3 months (not even kidding) because their phones are JUNK. WOW!! in the Article: AT&T Takes Verizon to Task Over Advertising forum

I've been saying this about Verizon for quite a while. They can't really say "we're the best" based on nothing, which really isn't true at all. They've been having so many problems with their network in our area that they don't even know how to fix it (this is actually what somebody from Verizon told someone I talked to) so they're letting some people out of contract. Plus their coverage map is misleading too, it's painted almost entirely red, ...
