The easiest way to make a ringtone from one of your songs is using iTunes.

Yes I was getting dropped called. Would say connection error and then screen would go blank. I received my new phone via warranty exchange. The phone is 100 times faster, quality is better and reception is consistent. So, I figure since I had one of the first ones, the updates have fixed the problems.
Nokia E62 Problems
I have had my Nokia E62 since first part of October. I am within the last 3 weeks been getting an error stating Smartchip Not Available. Just randomly does it, sometimes 10 times a day sometimes 1.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Alos, I am having a lot of problems with my signal going up and down all the time and it will be sitting in one spot.

Howdy. I have a Kiosk for sale. It is a Cingular approved kiosk. We had it in a mall in Central Texas for about 8 months and the mall raised rent over 12 G's and so we had to take it out. Has spots for two computers, plenty of counter space, I can send you some diagrams and pictures to you if you need to have it approved by your leasing agent first.

Phonetools isn't what you need to make it louder.. You need a software called Motorla PSK .... go on www.howardforums.com or www.iphone-forum.com ...
it isn't much to do it, you don't need Motorola Phone Tools to do it, however, you do need a data cable for your phone to do it. It takes about 5 minutes to do everything, once you get use to the system... be sure to make it between 1 and 3 though ...

Why does it matter how much space you have on the SLVR? The phone will only hold 100 songs anyways, no matter if it had 512 or 1 Gig.

if you have a MPX 220 .. just use the data cable or a bluetooth connection.. Use iTunes and cut down a song that you want.. make it 30 seconds, or whatever you want the length to be. Convert it to MP3 using the encoder and then just transfer it to your phone, and that 30 seconds of the song that you already own is put on your phone as a Ring Tone. Still free....

We have also been informed in the South texas Market that Motorola is supposed to push out some Contractor grade phones. Like the nextel phones, ones that are more with standing to a hardcore work environment. We were estimated end of Q1 on that, also, some new high end Motorola's, but they didn't specificaly mention PTT on them.

Yes, you would be able to buy phones on Ebay and then just switch the sim cards. However, you must make sure that it has the 850Mhz AND 1900Mhz bands on the phone, if not your reception will be non existant. Also, the phone must be either Cingular Branded or Unlocked, if it's locked to a different carrier you are opening a completely different can of worms to make it work.

ROKR E1, Samsung X497, 6682 Discontinued
We got a notice this morning that we could not longer order any of these models because they have been discontinued. Said the LG1500 would replace the X497, and gives nothing to replace the other two.
What is the deal? Does anyone know why this is? I have seen no problems with the ROKR, the 6682 we never even got any in. Will they re-release the 6682 with 3G technology?

64k may hold more text messages or something like that but it does not hold anymore than 250 numbers....
64k to me i get no better reception with it than i did with my 32k chip. Basically just allows everything to say Cingular no matter where you are...

Our regional Cingular Rep , said projected date was Mid November, but said probably closer to first of the year.
I know Houston, Dallas are in the Top 20 Cities that are going to get it supposedly before year end.

As far as i know of the 6102 does not have PTT on it. Also, it's suppose to be released i believe on October 13 or 23 from what i am told... but i don't see it happening......

that must be nice.. i am having problems with my 6230 i called in to Warranty and only offered me the S66 or V551... and then i caleld insurance.. same thing.. then i called customer service.. 6682 not offered in Houston area....
so i am stuck with my 6230 crackling and scratchy on every call i make and they all told me i was up the creek without a paddle..

We got our live demo in today.. I'm pretty impressed with it.. however, it is kind of slow when you have something playing and then trying to do something else.. battery is fantastic! and it's not much bigger than the 6230.
however, the 250 price point is a different store. I think it will sell, and they are doing a huge advertising campaign on it, i feel it will probably be the next RAZR type deal..

Apple is very hush hush about their products... and Cingular agreeing to sell the phone is restricted legally on not announcing to anyone about the upcoming iTunes launch. Only the higher up and so forth will know about it until launch point and then your merchandising will start coming in.
However, we all know iTunes Phone is going to be released. Especially if you are a mac user.
Also, it may only hold 20 to 25 phones, however, ...

yeah lock/line customer service sucks... but oh well i don't know too many insurance companies that are sweeties to you either......
They do not offer insurance on the Razor V3 because of the lack of replacement phones possible and the cost of it. That's a reason why they don't offer insurance on Treo's or blackberry's.
the v3 to me isn't worth the money.. just an overpriced v551.... (your paying for the AL case and keypad)

What do you want to know about the E317/E316/E315.. i have played with all three models... they are all really nice. small and compact. Sound quality and screen quality is by far excellent. However, what really stinks is the ring tone selection and the amount of memory on the phones.. no more than like 10 ring tones and no more than 4500k of storage on the phones.. Finally got my 6230
I finally got my 6230 today.... Woo Hoo!!.. love it... ten times better than the v600 i had... we are selling them now here in the South Texas Area, E317 as well, finally took long enough.
