Text-heavy users, or e-mail users (since this does support Exchange) want a QWERTY keypad, for good reason. That said, most users who have phones with QWERTY keypads, especially the less-cramped slide-out style, complain heavily about the lack of a dedicated numeric pad. They're either stuck with an awful on-screen keypad (the iPhone's biggest flaw), or sliding out the keyboard, holding it sideways, typing on dual-functions buttons, then sliding it shut to speak. This gives you the best of both ...

You're not supposed to call it a phone--so no, it won't hit Verizon.

The odds of Verizon getting this phone are somewhere between 0 and -10. Helio's phones are very much exclusive to Helio. That's the whole point of Helio. Phone designs almost straight out of Korea, which are far beyond anything provided here. So far Helio's phones have been more of a half-step between the two, with a small step above our phones. I used it all day today and now I know I really want my own headset, but I'm not willing ...

Any way to shut off the front panel buttons?

in the LG Fusic / LX-550 forum

Considering I haven't found it anywhere in the menus I'm assuming not, but has anyone found a way to deactivate the front buttons? I have an MP3 player, so I don't particularly care about them, but they're causing serious problems. Since the official (or unofficial) LX550 holsters haven't hit the market yet, and I was desperate to get my phone out of my junk-filled pocket and onto my belt I purchased a universal belt case for it. Works ...

It simply acts as flash memory. If you're trying to use the USB cable, then you have to go into Tools (Menu, 9) and choose USB Flash Memory (#). This will turn off your ability to make and receive calls while it's on, but you can then hook up the USB cable and access the memory card just like it's a disc. Once you're done transferring files you can unplug it and turn the feature off. ...
