It seems that those who got the update already were the beneficiaries of a glitch in the system. See this post at the Moto Owners forum: https://supportforums.motorola.com/ thread/28740 If you have the update please post your feedback in that thread, when it is opened for posting, so that they can evaluate the update and get it rolled out to everyone else.

Re: Have to use MotoBlur?
Apr 30, 2010, 12:15 AM
in the Motorola Backflip forum

If you are on AT&T and get a smartphone (not just the Backflip) you will have to sign up for a data plan. MotoBlur is an integral part of the phone's OS. Some people have botched the MotoBlur sign-up by not being in a 3G area when they initially setup the phone. This denies them access to many of the MotoBlur functions. But I don't know if if there is any way to make sure you bypass the MotoBlur setup. The smartphone ...

The alarm volume is set as one of the preferences when you set up the alarm, it is separate from the ringer volume. Also if you set increasing it starts out very soft and doesn't increase very quickly. I don;t knwo if alarms will sound if your phone is on vibrate or silent, haven't tried it

The Backflip does not support voice dial over bluetooth. This is one of the features that may be included when/if it gets Android 2.

Connect your phone to your computer with the supplied USB cable. If you don't see a pop-up box that allows you to choose USB drive or charge only open the notifications by placing your finger above the notifications bar and swiping down. Here you will see A USB symbol and if it isn't in USB drive mode it will say "Select to copy to/from your computer". Tap on text and you will get a menu where you can select USB ...

Searching Contacts: While on one of the homescreens or while in your contacts just start typing either on the virtual keyboard or the hardware keyboard. The phone will display a list of your contacts that match the text you enter. Text Handling: Using the standard text messaging app you can delete ALL of your conversations by pressing the menu key while on the page that lists the conversations. You can delete a single conversation by viewing that conversation and then selecting the ...

Re: Album covers on my Eternity?????
Aug 23, 2009, 1:02 AM
in the Samsung forum

I missed you saying that you wanted to do it on the phone. If you have a usb data cable you can connect the phone in mass storage mode and use one of the programs I mentioned with the files still on your phone. Connected in Media Player mode you may be able to use whatever program you use to manage your music to tag the files, if it supports embedding album art in the files.

Re: Album covers on my Eternity?????

The Eternity uses embedded album art. The cover image has to be included in each mp3 file. MediaMonkey is a windows program that will not only embed the album art, it will search the internet to find the covers for you. MP3 tag is another program for Windows that will embed the album art in your files. I have read that iTunes will also do this, but I do not use iTunes. For Linux there is Album Cover Art Downloader (also has windows ...

Re: adding features

The att.com web site states that feature changes made from the site become effective immediately (I know that roadside assistance is an exception to this). They will pro-rate the changes you make, but it may take a billing cycle for it to be completely straightened out.

In conversation view you can only forward the last (most recent) message. You need to switch to standard view. Go to your Inbox and press the menu icon in the top right corner, select standard view. Now you can select and view any message and you will be able to forward or delete them.
