Doesn't work with Sprint, their Spanish people tend to be in Mexico. But, when I did make a mistake and hit the Spanish option with AT&T I did get an American. She spoke English after lecturing me on making the right choice.

Cuz no phones are going to be released any time soon your old lady is going to leave you and find someone that will get her a phone and not leave her with a hand me down. Cuz the article made it pretty clear we're still several months, of not longer from seeing LTE phones.

It really does sound as if this is the early termination fee, and not the regular bill. Of course, without actually seeing your account it is impossible to tell what exactly has happened. I do know that regardless of what is going on with your account, it is unacceptable to be on hold for an hour and 20 minutes, or even the 40 minutes. Send an email to dan@sprint.com and explain what is going on. The fine people from ...

Hurry up and wait is tried and true. Semper Gumby is only true to a certain extent. Junior Marines have to be flexible but once you have a rocker or two, the flexibility seems to go away. Put shiny stuff on your collar and you become very rigid. Sprint does supply plenty of "less advantaged" customers with service, as does T-Mobile. But both do still expect some payment, and it seems that is just asking too much.

That used to be our policy, then it became 50%, then 25%- and now we can negotiate, but no more than 25%.

First, it isn't "my" company. They just pay the bills. I have AT&T, and love the service. The only thing I regret is going from my BlackBerry to the iPhone. It isn't a mistake I'll make again though. Sprint's coverage is far superior to T-Mobile- so one peon calling another yellow doesn't do much for me. I'll just compare the devices, and note that the HD2 loses. It almost seems like it was a practice device when HTC was ...

Why would I make a customer pay the $100.00 for texting overages? Because it reflects their usage. If customers don't have a texting plan and they choose to use the feature, they shouldn't expect to not pay the $0.20 per message. I'd be happy to add one of our texting options, or change them to a plan that includes text. But, I cannot just pretend they didn't use the feature. Heck, we're limited to $25.00 of credit we can ...

Maybe I'll start calling my cell company and demand credit, when I don't get it I'll say it is because I'm white. I've been treated poorly for not being black in the past- so that must be why AT&T expects me to pay my bill. The people that I used to work for run AT&T now and still don't like white people.

Why would get the HD2 when the Evo is right around the corner, and does everything the HD2 does, and much more? As for iPhones being junk- sorry but you don't become the most popular phone by not doing things well. You may not have liked it, but I find that unlikely. Why spend all the money getting new phones every year if you weren't happy with the phone?

Yeah, how dare anyone be able to decide how they want to allocate their resources or sell their product! We should have a right to any product on our terms, corporations are just evil for wanting to dictate how their product is sold! Or, maybe we should just go ahead and keep doing things the way the free market system tells us to do it- you know- that you control your property. That would mean if you didn't want to ...

How is it not fair to expect a customer to pay for the usage of their phone? Menno did an excellent job going over what happened, and how Verizon explains the changes. If the customer refused to follow the rules, he should be forced to pay the bill. If I were in Verizon's shoes I wouldn't have offered to cut half of it. I'd offer to block data so it didn't happen again, and offer to get a payment ...

I have Kindle on my iPhone. It would be pretty amazing on the Evo with the larger screen. Yet another reason I may consider leaving AT&T after 12 years through many different name changes, etc. Sprint really is impressing me, and that's never happened before. We have too many here, and they're doing everything they can to bring in more. But, we're required to have a specific staffing level. When we go over than they pull people off the phones and have us just sitting here. It sounds good, but we get paid by the call. When we're just sitting they pay us, but at a rate far lower than we would be making if we were taking calls. It gets pretty old, even ...

The $10.00 isn't for 4G. It is because of the anticipated high volume of data. The phone must be on an Everything Data plan, then there is an additional $10.00 charge. It is still far below the cost of a smart phone on the Big 2.

It is more than just knowing the local tax rate. It is univeral services fee, 911 fee, administrative fee, and several other fees depending on the place they happen to live. If I didn't have the tool I wouldn't be able to tell you what it would cost where I live. Telling a customer how much a plan would cost is really a part of the job.

Sprint isn't charging extra for the 4G. That is something that is being thrown around on several sites, but it simply isn't true. The $10.00 fee is there simply because of the expectation of tremendous amounts of data that will be used. It is more accurate to think of the iPhone and the data fee being more expensive than it would be on a feature phone- it is the same time of charge.

The talk of the cap is confusing things. There is no cap on 3G phone usage with Sprint now. The cap is with a connection card. They clearly need to refine the message, or announce that everyone with unlimited 3G on the phone now is about to have a cap put in place.

I got to play with an HD2 last week. I also thought the phone may be too big, but after using it, I didn't really notice a problem. It felt bigger than the iPhone I have now, but didn't feel any larger than my old BB felt. The issue is that the customer that is already on the $89.99 plan did the responsible thing and got the plan that is best for their usage. The difference is that the pay-per-view tells you what you're going to pay as you get ready to watch it. To be like the cell phone industry currently is, it would have to be that you looked turned it to that channel and you were charged without being told it was going to cost more. I am as conservative as they come. I'd love to blame Obama for anything, but this dog don't hunt. Yes, he is head of the executive branch, and the FCC falls under him. But, he would have had zero input over this decision. More importantly, this isn't the government getting further involved in our lives. This would be a valid form of regulation over the telecom industry. We all understand how the billing system works. But you'd be amazed ...

I'm not buying it. My guess is HTC doesn't want to pay the price Palm is asking- and this is a tactic to try to get them down. It just makes too much sense for HTC- I don't know how they could let it pass.

When the unlimited data plans were conceived people had RAZRs with a few odd business types using BlackBerry or other PDA phones. Since then we have every 14 year old in America with an iPhone or Android device. The increase in data traffic is simply more than the network can deal with. Instead of raising the rates on everyone, the companies are looking to make those that use more pay more. It is totally reasonable. A person that uses ...

By definition there is not a cell phone monopoly. Even if you want to say that T-Mobile and Sprint aren't able to compete- the fact that we have Verizon and AT&T means that there is no monopoly. I personally think this rule is crap, but from a different perspective. It is a property issue, plain and simply. The government is demanding that carriers allow others to use their property. The only issue I have with Best Buy is that at times their associates don't fully understand the product they are selling. It isn't unusual to see someone go to a store, buy a phone that requires data, but have only one of their lines changed to a data plan- meaning the other lines are on an older plan or messaging only plan- and then they get billed for two family plans, and often casual data charges on the ...

Palm may end up getting bought out- but it isn't going to be that big of a deal. The WebOS will still be there. In fact, I'd bet the name palm will survive as well. There will be different people wearing the suits at the headquarters, but the work they've done isn't going to just disappear.

Rather than trying to go toe to toe with Verizon's claims, AT$T should have changed the game on them. I'd like to see an ad that admits Verizon has more 3g coverage but then talk about customer service. Why be treated like garbage when you can go with AT$T. 3g in the places most people are, and Edge isn't all that much worse than Verizon's 3g. Verizon won the map game.
