Any release dates scheduled for the LG US740 Apex or LG US670 Optimus U yet? Will they come with Froyo out of the box?

I think USCC has been listening to some of the mutterings, though, because this morning they added a new 69.99 individual plan with data/texting and fewer (450) voice minutes, plus the usual goodies (unlimited incoming, n/w, etc). This has swayed me (as a current US Cellular customer) to stay because not only is it cheaper than the only other decent coverage provider in my area (Verizon), it's cheaper than my current USCC rate. (I don't need the extra minutes.) Thanks ...

Ok, here's my suggestion, take it or leave it. If you're an agent or a customer service rep or other company representative, try not to tell customers to "quit being a tight wad". That doesn't reflect well personally or professionally. As I've stated before, the reason I have stayed with USCC for 10 years and will continue to do so is because of great phone reception in my area and good (albeit not always consistent) customer service. Not comparing to Verizon or any provider, but comparing to US Cellular before the Belief ... prices were lower for most plans. The nice part is they aren't forcing us to leave our lower price plans, we can still stay in the current plans and just have to sign the contract every two years, right?

Nat'l 1000, unlimited n/w, unlimited data (no tethering) 49.99 Prem Internet 19.99 250 text 4.95 with taxes and fees (about $11), comes to about $86. Thanks for your help Matt. I'm not dissing USC, I've been with them 10+ years. I'm just not seeing the benefit yet of the new promotion. It'd be nice if longterm existing customers got a few belief points as a perk...

My cost per month will also go up with the new plans for equivalent options to what I have now. :( Yeah, that was worth all the hype.

In the USCC forum over at HOFO, they say there is a touchscreen phone without a data plan coming this fall. The speculation is that it is the Motorola 'Crush'. This is only rumored since the people who actually know are bound by non-disclosure agreements.

Bought a Bliss Saturday and really, really like it. I'd been using w385 and wanted to upgrade. This is the perfect transition handset somewhere inbetween dumbphone and smartphone - very intuitive and not too complicated, but still extremely functional.

I'm told several of the stores have gotten the LG UX700 "Bliss" in, at least dummy models. For those of you who have tried it, what do you think? Is it basically a Tritan without the slider or are there other notable form/function differences?

My experience has been that the retail locations want to move their current product so they give these exaggerated timeframes. Although no one knows the release dates for sure (of if they do know them they can't say), the Tour will release sooner than what she told you. A LOT sooner, if the folks over at HOFO are to be believed, and they've been extremely reliable in the past. :wink: Currently HTC TP is the only WiFi ...

The agent I spoke with this morning said EV may be another year til it gets here (Eastern Nebraska/Omaha/Lincoln). Of course she also had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about the new LG touchscreen (ux700) so maybe I asked the wrong rep.

The USCC news release stated "late July, early August" for this phone. Have any stores gotten in display models yet? Are any photos available yet?

Why is the Motorola QA30 "Hint" not listed on US Cellular's list of phones on Phone Scoop? I know it was pulled for software issues, but it has been back in US Cellular stores for quite some time now.
