yellow screen on Z9 ??

The screen on my Z9 has been going yellow and a message code SMS_ _ (missed the number)appears where the battery indicator is in the corner. The phone has been dropped but always appears to work normally. This first appeared while trying to use the phone in the direct sun .Can anyone tell me what is causing this ? Bad SIM card, battery ? Thanks for any help.
