Re: I guess we will find out.
I don't believe that AT&T is an evil company. I am just saying that that planned for this to happen. I likened them to a rattlesnake because it make perfect sense. I just got a clear mifi box and I don't even have internet on my phone because i now have wifi everywhere I go in the phily/jersey area and the speeds are (justfinethanku) LOL! I can not make clear video calls everywhere I go!!
AT&T Planned for this to happen
AT&T knew that facetime had a source code attached to at and knew that developers would make apps that could make video calls over 3G. That's why they changed their data plans and no longer have unlimited plans. AT&T is praying that people make video calls so they have justification to charge their customer more money for going over their data cap.
The loyal iphone fans probably dont have to worry because they already have unlimited plans, but once ...
Don't waste ur time
Don't waste your time on mail in rebates. if you do get one of those phones with AT&T you won't get your rebate back till after Christmas, if you get it back at all. T-mobile already offers these phones and there is no rebates. You get and instant discount and unlike AT&T at T-mobile you are not required to pay for an expensive web package if you want a Blackberry. All you need is unlimited messaging for $10 WOW ...
Re: Awesome, too!
I agree about the standard pricing but why put the customer and AT&T through the hassle of processing mail-in rebates
Re: Awesome, too!
It's cool that AT&T came out with this phone also but look at the pricing of the phone. T-mobile offers the phone for $200 with a new or upgraded contract. AT&T offers it for $200 after rebate. No word on how much the rebate is but compared to T-mobile's pricing anything over $200 upfront is not worth the hassle of filing out rebates and hoping to get them in the mail.
Re: Congratulations AT&T, it's about damn time! ! !
that's ok but the point of myfaves is to have someone you talk to all the time. If you are going to constantly switch them around then it is pointless. Once VZW realizes that its Friends and family members are using those numbers like that there will be an extra fee of some sort to compensate fro changing the fave numbers all the time.
I would rather have my favorite 5 then my favorite 2 and have to switch ...
Re: Congratulations AT&T, it's about damn time! ! !
I'm glad that AT&T is taking steps to help their customer's save money on their minutes but them and VZW still did not get it right when it comes to the "MyFaves" plan.
They want the single lines to pay at least $60 not including any data. And Families have to pay at least $90.
The sad part is is that on the family plans the 10 lines have to be split between the people in the plan. If the ...
Iphone sending pictures
Is it me or is AT&T still not allowing the Iphone to send picture messages. I know that they said that it should be available by the end of the summer, but I don't understand why can't they just add that feature now. Someone explain that to me. How can someone deposit a check through MMS if the phone still won't support it?
Re: o?
What can the ipone do that the G1 cannot? Please remember that there are thousands of app int he android app market that do tons of things. But can anyone tell me specifically what the iphone can do that the G1 cannot. If you are correct in your analysis then i will gladly concede but I want to know for my general knowledge.
Re: Just another reason
nice picture
Just another reason
I think that offering the two year warranty on this phone is awesome. I know the warranty doesn't cover: lost, stolen, crack screen or water damage, but sometimes that isn't the issuw with people that have had phones like this over the previous 1 year mark. This is just another reason why t-mobile is listening to it's customers and trying to make improvments to is company to benefit both them and the consumer.
Re: like Magic up their sleeve
Bro, are you serious; a LG Xenon. Have you even looked at that phone. Those phones have no similarities other than a touch screen on the front. If you can't see that the biggest difference is the absence of the QWERTY keyboard then you y friend need glasses. I will give it to you that the MyTouch should have had a better "upgrade" under the hood. I would have loved to see it with an 8GB and 16GB versions, ...
Re: Finally
I agree with you on that. I won a MotoZine in a motorola contest and I have to say it is one of the best camera phones out right now. The KODAK camera on it is brilliant and the pictures are truly worth it. I am excited to hear about the new Motorola Android phone that is coming out. As soon I get some intel on it I will let u all know whats going on in the t-mobile ...
Re: wow
Where in the world does AT&T get the right to force a messaging plan on a phone. I understand that AT&T can do what they want with their company and phones, but I don't thinks that it is fair to force a messaging charge on a phone. I understand that the point of having the phone is to message, but what about people that like to message but don't do a ton of messaging. i could understand telling them ...
Re: not all....
This is going to be a great phone. From the research I have done. It is going to have double the internal memory of the G1 @ 142MB and have double the RAM @ 256MB. The Processor is still the same, but with the RAM boost the phone should have a nice feel to it. I noticed that the Iphone 3Gs has the same RAM but 72 more MHz of processing power which is hardly noticable. Anyway with the ...
Re: not all....
Well thanks NG, i'm not mad at all. I just wanted to say that yes I am a tmobile employee, but that doesn't mean that I don't see the potential and benefits of other companies. If i were just a regular consumer and wanted to get the best bang for my buck and I wanted a great phone and didn't want to have signal issues like you experience at Metro and Boost, then i would choose t-mobile
Re: new phone
OH BRO! Looks like the facts are out and you are WRONG
Re: like Magic up their sleeve
Sorry to burst your little bubble, but I did tell you that this phone was coming out and that it was an android device. Maybe next time you will do some research before you begin bashing someone on their research. Also, try reading the entire article before you begin putting in your two cents.
Re: LGkia
Awh... thanks for the kind words. I love you too
Re: 24 inch??
I'm sure you could but any regular cellular phone user could see that that was a typo. Making fun if it is just plain immature
Re: Why are You Paying for this
Sure how about the t-mobile G1
Re: new phone
Look bro, I don't appreciate the names. That's not what we are here for. I just looked at the HTC Website and there is no reference of the MyTouch because it is not supposed to be leaked out yet. I know for a fact that the Mytouch is sister phone to the HTC Magic that Vodaphone has now. We have it in three colors. Black, white, and a rose color. This is an android powered device. i don't know ...
Re: Why are You Paying for this
Look, I'm not saying that there are not some differences in the hardware. I mean come on, if you are going to charge for a new phone, shouldn't it be a completly new phone. Shouldn't it be able to do something that the previous ones could not do and won't be able to do with a software. Video capture at 30 fps does sound good but like I said before I love apple, i use a mac book. i ...
Re: I already said this
I would probably go with a Nokia 7510. This is a really nice phone with a high def screen and camera w/flash. It has a micro sd slot for all your picture and music needs. It does have an mp3 player and It doesn't require a data plan, but you can either add unlimited internet to it for 9.99 or you can use the built in wifi on the phone to access the internet on the phone for free ...
Re: This is incredible
How is this incredible.
Have you taken a closer look at the rates.
You have to pay $60/month for 5GB of USA Data and and extra $70/month for only 100MB of International Data. Last time I checked 100MB is only 10% of 1GB and we are paying more for international data then we are for USA data. Now if they offered the same plan of 5GB USA and 5GB of international for $130 a month then someone that does a lot ...
Re: Why are You Paying for this
I know about the inner workings of apple and I can tell you yes there may be some different hardware but it is not as cracked up as they might leave you to think. For a company as Apple that always does this first-class. Why would they begin with a phone with no 3G when that the biggest thing in the wireless industry at the time the iphone came out??
It is because Apple has a brilliant marketing director and ...
I already said this
If you read my comments in the previous articles you will find out that I already said that t-mobile was coming out with this phone. It is t-mobile's version of the HTC Snap, but with cooler features that I cannot disclose at this time for security reasons. I am the go-to guy for anything t-mobile related
Re: new phone
First of all I said before that I work for t-mobile and if i said that the MyTouch 3G will be android then it will be.
Regarding the question about the t749, yes, it is the HIghlight, previously known as the "Spark" is a 3G device listed in T-Mobile's style category that'll be launching in exciting-sounding "fire" and "ice" colors on 7/15/09. It looks like this one's been delayed by several months, so we hope it's been made orders of ...
Re: 24 inch??
are you serious the headline said it is a 2.4 inch screen which is pretty average. Not 24. Maybe you thought it was cute, but we are real cellular professionals here. if you don't know anything about phones, then please stay off phonescoop.
Re: new phone
I work for t-mobile and I can tell you that that is not the only phone coming out.
The phones we are coming out with are the
1. MyTouch 3G which is the successor to the G1
Release: 8/5/09
2. The HTC Dash 3G which is t-mobile's version of the HTC Snap (but with cooler features that i cannot disclose)
Release: 7/1/09
3. The Touch Pro 2 (in "Mocha") on 7/22/09 to replace the WING
4. Blackberry Gemini on 7/22/09
5. Samsung t749 3G on 7/15/09
6. ...
Why are You Paying for this
For some reason I just don't understand why an AT&T customer would pay more money for an iphone when the biggest difference is all software.
The 1st generation iphone was upgraded to the iphone 3G the only difference was software. and not the difference between the iphone 3G and the iphone 3Gs is software and a better camera. Come On, are you serious! Why don't you just stay with the phone you have right now and just update the software ...
