Re: HUGE and WIDE??? Thats what she said!
We are now starting to trend back to big phones. Motorola released the RAZR and made small phones all the rage. Now, the bigger the phone (on a touchscreen, at least), the better it is. I say 4.3" is awesome. The only thing better than that might be 5.3". I heart large phones.
Good job, T-Mo
Way to copy Cricket. Not that it's a bad thing, I just think it's funny that none of the Big 4 American carriers came up with it first.
Fixed on new releases?
Let's face it. T-Mobile's 3G coverage sucks, especially in comparison to the other three big American carriers. That certainly doesn't help. However, seeing as the phone is still relatively new, we can assume the fact that they are no longer seeking a solution for the problem means that there is definitely something wrong with the hardware of this device that just can't be fixed at this point.
So the real question is, when this phone comes to the other carriers ...
Re: 1RTT support?
Does Sprint even have anywhere left that isn't 3G but isn't roaming?
Re: Location based?
You sign up on the website and it sends you a coupon once a month. You get to pick the time of day it's delivered.
Re: Cricket change
I disagree. I like my paycheck and therefore must like Cricket.

BlackBerry Curve 8330?
The 8330? Should it not be the 8350i with the walkie-talkie capability? That's Boost's siganture feature!
The day of nothing working
Did anyone else just have 15 unheard voicemails from the last four days show up on their phone? And earlier today, my keyboard was screwy. Every press registered three or four letters, and when I held down a key to put in a punctuation mark, it just typed that letter endlessly. Anyone else had any weird stuff today?
Re: how do you stay motivated
Same here. Our bonus structure is ridiculous. If me and my two employees all hit our first half phone goals, we'd be 80% to our goal for the month. We always hit the month end goal as a team, but when I can sell 65 phones in a month and not hit my personal goals either half, that's messed up. And to make it worse, we don't get paid commission. So for those 65 phones a month I do ...
So what does one do.....
When a customer walks in, sits on the couch, and starts trying to access the Wi-Fi we don't have? And then stares out the window for ten minutes straight?
Personally, I kind of hope he stays til closing so I can yell, "Crackhead! Get yo ass up off my couch!" Hee hee hee
F my life
Five minutes from closing and this Mexican couple comes in and wants to activate a phone in her name. Trouble is, the phone they have is still attached to her husband's account. And she's using a phone on an account in her friend's name that she doesn't want to use anymore. But she doesn't want to disconnect her husband's phone. Who, by the way, got another phone activated on a separate account in his name. OH NO WAIT! It ...
Re: job availability
Speaking of which, the managerial position at my store is opening up. Any takers?
HDMI?
I'm having a hard time understanding what I would want to use the HDMI out on this phone for. I understand that you could show movies you've taken on your phone on a TV, and if you're watching music videos you could do the same, but does that really make it a great feature? Just not sure that this phone is enough of an improvement over the S30, or even the original Instinct (which I have and LOVE LOVE ...
Re: New story - netbooks
Wow. Shocking. Knock me over with a feather.
Re: POS software
Retail IQ is fantastic, especially for management and upper management. The way it tracks everything is outstanding.
Re: No, you don't get a free battery for being out of contract for two years.
I wish it was raining here. That would be more entertaining than what's gonig on now. Which is nothing. Except watching people walk up to the Verizon store across the street that's been closed for two months and pull on the door and peer inside. As if they can't read the giant word "CLOSED" that's been painted on the front window. Silly customers.
Seriously? Today?
I already don't want to be here. It's been slow, and I'm annoyed. Don't tell me to get everything set up for your new phone, and then sit on the couch and argue with your current provider about why you're cancelling their service. Either come ready to be my customer 100% or stay where you're at. My activation system is tied up with your sale right now, and I can't do anything should another customer walk in the door. ...
So at what point is it ok to...
Call my boss and tell him it's slow, so I can get permission to close early, so I can tell the guy who gets here in an hour that he doesn't need to come in? How many hours of zero customers does it take before we start losing money?
Re: awkward.....
Nuh uh! That's not what my nametag says!
Re: awkward.....
Too true
Re: Anyone...
There's a reason people like that flock to Starbucks. Just sayin
Re: Anyone...
Has anyone even seen a customer yet today? 3 hours and I've basically been entertaining myself by guessing how long it will be before the next car drives past my store. I'm 1 for 4 so far. As in 4 cars have driven past my store today. I could take a nap and it probably wouldn't matter. Oh! There goes number 5!
Re: i think she is hot what you think .
It also sets you free. And combining the two is wonderful :D
awkward.....
Customers, please do not come into my store to pay your bill (or do anything else) on a phone call with your significant other and argue with them about all of the problems the two of you are having. I don't need to hear it :x you don't need to say it, and the 6 year old with the coloring book in the corner is asking his parents questions that he probably shouldn't be for another 8 ...
Re: Boring Saterday
5 days til college football starts! :D That's pretty much all that's keeping me going right now. This job certainly isn't... :(
So you DON'T want help.....
Had a customer come in this morning wanting to know the lowest cost to hook up a phone.
Me: "The cheapest out the door we can do is $19.99, our least expensive prepaid phone."
Cust: "Idiot, I didn't say I wanted prepaid."
Nope, you asked least expensive OTD cost. You now no longer get service in my store. Congrats.
Re: Crazy hospital lady
$20 says we could set the world record for most often used emoticon in less than a week if we had that.
Re: better than the r450?
-2 megapixel camera, upgrade from 1.3 megapixel
-Video capability, not available on first model
-Mobile email application, not available on first model
-MyHomeScreen = customizable main menu
-Stereo Bluetooth - listen to music on Bluetooth headset
-Micro USB port for charging and data transfers
All in all, the side-sliding, full QWERTY keyboard factor makes it similar physically, although the look is updated and much more modern. In addition, this phone has a better camera and all the higher end features (especially video) that the first ...
Re: awe.. has everyone gone home?
That's why working nights is great! I would love to work nights!
Re: Have customers completly jaded anyone else?
I've been working indirect for a little less than a year now. I have a really hard time feeling sympathy for anyone anymore. And not just customers, people in general.
Re: Why don't
True. I used to sell Sprint, but switched to managing a Cricket store in April. Cricket's customer service is certainly not up to par with the bigger carriers. The service itself is really good though, and the phones are getting better very quickly.
Also, Cricket data is just ok for the most part. However, watching YouTube videos on the new Evoke beats watching them on my Sprint Instinct. Short load time, and it never had to stop to finish buffering. ...
Re: i hate my supervisor
LOL! So the last person that just walked out of the office area, I said "crap" to them, and they looked at me like I was nuts. Which I guess is kind of true. But it made me laugh.
the end
Re: WHAT I WISH I COULD SAY TO THESE DUMB CUSTOMERS!
Just be careful you're not playing any intense music while he's in there. His Agent Orange might kick in, and you'll probably wish you hadn't woken up that morning
Re: BTW
I second that motion
No, YOU pay attention
Customer, when I ask you if there is anything I can do for you, and you look at me for half a second and then go right back to perusing the rate plans, don't yell at me that you were here first when I go to help another customer. I offered, you didn't take me up on it, wait your turn.
Re: I'll just cancel
Ah the wonders of no contract services. "I'm just going to shut the damn thing off!" Meh. Fine by me. You'll be back when you can't afford the bill over at the carrier next door.
Re: Even better
It's because they're calling from a pay phone. They're going to pay their bill in all quarters cuz they've been saving up their change from when they buy cigarettes.
Oh no wait, this was my customer yesterday. My bad.
