Its not rocket science to monitor your usage. FYI..sms does not use kilibytes... ...its just the carriers babysitting the customers is crazy to me...I don't know...its simple..choose your services and plans that fit your needs and that is it.. its not complicated. Those who depend on push alerts just don't take responsibility for their service. Its not the carriers responsibility to monitor the usage...You can monitor usage using * services, online, apps..just saying..and really the plans offered today ...

Every phone company throttles the data after so much use and gives poor experience. The shared mobile plans offered by Verizon and AT&T will benefit some customers. These plans are not really to save you money but to be easier to manage everything. Unlimited internet on a mobile device is a joke anyways for many reasons and is old. Enjoy your unlimited, you probably do not use the data you think you do. And there are millions of data ...

This is great for those who have many data devices for this plan goes up to 10 devices per group..this would be great for if there are 5 iphones, maybe a ipad and a playstation vita..that is 7 data devices all sharing the same data bucket and getting unlimited talk and text...its great to see companies come out with innovative ideas to make it easier on the consumer. This example would be: 10GB=120.00 5 Smartphones=150.00 ipad and playstation=20.00 290.00 is cost...not bad to ...

There is a cost for any carrier to complete upgrade. You are getting a phone at a 400-500 discount. It is the rising costs for phones that impacts these types of fees. Its a business my friend. There is nothing for free..

You got misinformation my friend. I work for AT&T and all that is needed is for the IMEI number to be verified that the iPhone completed the 2 year contract. There are tools to verify that information. If you bought iPhone at no commitment pricing (full price), then you just need reciept showing that. Bottom line is that you do not have to have account with AT&T, its all about the IMEI and the history of the iPhone.

The data plans today are not meant to be a primary source of data...I realize that not everyone has access to wifi but you cannot stream youtube or music everyday and all day..that will put anyone in the 5% usage....I just know how to manage how I use my data on the phone...all carriers throttle...keep in mind that att is not yet thottling data for LTE phones..You have a LTE phone with unlimited your good

I connect to wifi alot..that is why manufacturer's add ability of wifi is to connect..wifi is everywhere...people that abuse the data usage just don't get that the bandwhith is shared with other customers...shared...so I use wifi when I can...We all have to do our part as consumers to ensure everyone has a good experience with data usage on any cell network...the carriers can only do so much...its not 5 years ago when nobody had smartphones...

I promise you that the people that are being throttled at 2 GB is using that amount in a matter of days..not a billing cycle....people need to know what they are talking about with this policy before knocking it. AT&T are not the only carrier to throttle...Verizon, Tmobile, and sprint even does at 5 GB...so come on...lets talk about all carriers if we are talking about throttling...by the way...5% is not alot of customer base with 17000 being on ...

AT&T is not throttling because of amount of usage, they are throttling speeds with excessive usage in short period of time. Anyone using 2 GB in a month cycle will be fine, however, if you are using up 2GB in 3-4 days then that will put you in the 5% highest usage based on projected usage. That is how it is..you can't abuse the bandwith...I have unlimited and I have a hard time getting to 1 gb..so I have ...

They are speaking of giving you a huge discount on the phone and in many cases the discount is 400-500 dollars of the retail price of the phone. They are saying that the costs of devices have increased. The fee increase is in my opinion makes sense. You think when you upgrade to a iphone 4s 16 gb that the actual cost is 200.00?..no it is a 650 dollar phone.

Im just saying that its hard to go over the caps anyway..the tiered pricing is reasonable...all smartphones come with wifi capable to lift the burden of the network...all carriers are not building there networks for the purpose to allow these types of data usage for unlimited. have you seen verizons tiered pricing vs att pricing..verizon pricing is horrible for tiered data. get used to it with mobile phones..going tiered pricing.

Verizon charges 30.00 for unlimited and they charge 20.00 for hotspot feature with only a 2 gig limit, so at least for 20.00 on ATT your getting 2 gigs more bro to bring it to 4 gigs. good deal i think. We've just been slid some more details on the specs Microsoft is looking for to certify cards -- turns out it has a lot to do with random access speed, not total throughput, as the company's support docs imply. It's the latter value that's identified by a card's class (the big number that's often stamped on the card), so that's why Microsoft can't just say "any card Class 6 or higher is fine" or something to that effect. What's ...
