You win the award for the dumbest thing I have ever read on phonescoop! Congrats!

I would advise you to upgrade anytime after assuming liability of your phone number. If you upgrade first, then switch it into your own name, you will lose the warranty on the device.

Exactly my thoughts. It would be nice to have an apple forum IF it would stop the amount of iphone threads clogging up the rest of the forums.

Really? /;| How the heck do you pull that one off? I have yet to see that done effectivly. Do you have to place your phone down on a table then type like you would on a real size keyboard? Or are you able to hold the phone while typing?

Be careful doing this. I'm not sure if it's the case at every Verizon Wireless location but in some stores, it is required that you maintain a price plan of at least 34.99 for 6 months after receiving your NE2 discount. If you switch one of those lines to a secondary at 9.99 a month, you could get charged back the discount you received. And to answer your previous question, f38urry, you will only lose one $50 NE2 ...

Tethering cost 49.99 a month for a non pda.. not 59.99. And its $30 for a pda/blackberry OR if you are on a connect/premium plan. :)

I am pretty sure you have to wait 30 days for Verizon to verify that the customer kept the service. If you click on "Reports" at the top, it will list all of your sales. You have to wait for the pending status to go away before you can spend your reward.

I have successfully ported tracphone numbers to Verizon. In the field where you are suppose to enter the tracphone account number, I was able to get away with the sim number which can be found right on the handset. I get the same message about it being an AT&T number so I'm not sure how it works with you guys.

That sucks! We charge the customer back for the discount they recieved on the phone. It's listed on our return policy that the customer signs. We just have to make sure to explain this to every customer.

My point was just that you shouldn't bite someones head off for asking a question that was previously asked. If he is new to this site, then most likely he's not aware that a topic has been heavily discussed in the past. It's really no big deal. Just ignore posts that bother you..that way everyone is happy. :D

MrGoofball.. has it ever occurred to you that possibly Redwine is new to the PS forums and was not aware of all of the previous threads? Or do you really expect everyone to do a forum search on every single topic from the past 5 years to make sure no one has already posted about it. He was seeking NEW information..not an old thread that was last updated months and months ago. And to be honest I've have been ...

I just got off the phone with AT&T customer service. Apparently, this $18 upgrade fee exists for for regular upgrades, not just early. He did say depending on your account, it can sometimes be waived..which makes sense in my situation.

I actually read that on this site from someone. If you dial that number, a text message comes back with your upgrade date.

I believe I'm paying $80 for my line (1400 minutes) with 4 secondary line (9.99 each), plus $30 for unl texting, 30 for internet and 10-15(?) for intenet on a nonsmart phone.

Right, but as early as 9 months? I could see them possibly making an exception for someone and allowing them to upgrade early if requested. But I just requested the info. Pretty cool on AT&T's part if this isn't a mistake.

"..we can offer you an upgrade with a new 2-yr commitment and waive the $18 upgrade fee." I have not been seriously considering getting a new phone with AT&T, mostly because I just got my last upgrade within the year. Just out of curiosity I dialed *639# to check when I would be eligible for upgrade and got the above text msg. I just upgraded my phone in October of 2008 so its only been about 9 months. ...

You can tether the lg 8360. All you have to do is download the vzaccess manager to your computer at this link: http://www.vzam.net/download/Download. aspx At that same link, you can click on "supported devices" on the left and it shows you the complete list of devices you can use. Pricing recently changed, if you are on a Nationwide basic/select plan its $49.99 but if your on a Nationwide connect/premium plan, its only $30 a month.

Verizon and AT&T have almost identical pricing for their plans. Usually you pay one time for iphone apps and they are yours. AT&T is GSM and Verizon is CDMA. If your looking for 3G on your device, you will not get it everywhere with AT&T. My iphone doesn't get 3G in most places I go (including my house). With Verizon, you will have 3G in more area's and less dropped calls. So you ...

OK then, I have 2 questions.. 1. Do iphones qualify for employee discounts? I originally was told we WOULD get a discount which is why we switched in the first place. Otherwise we would have saved our $18 (or so) for each line on our account to go through assumption of liability. Which cost us around $90. The last person I spoke to about this was an AT&T rep from business care who had told me if an ...

Another Question for ATT reps...

I switched my ATT family share plan into my mothers name because she gets a 23% discount with where she works. She is one of the numbers on the plan anyway. I recently called ATT customer service and was transfered to business care (I noticed the reps in this department are not as friendly?) I called to ask if the discount had started. The rep had me confirm I was using the iphone (which is listed as the ...
