Looks like Cricket has a winner
When you compare spec for this phone with those of the Verizon Eris - they are very similar. Only this phone has almost twice the memory - an important fact.
This should be winner for Cricket if they can get it right and support the phone.

so, you are getting unlimited text and talk for 40 dollars with no taxes or extra fees.

While there are some obvious differences, this new company reminds me somewhat of Cricket Wireless (MetroPCS). Neither of these two carriers subsidize phone prices like the majors (Verizon,ATT,etc). A lot of people who subscribe to these two carriers prefer to use unlocked phones and like the fact that for a flat monthly fee they can have unlimited service (granted in major markets - not off the beaten path) without committing to a contract. 70 dollars for unlimited ...
