i don't think palm will "crash and burn" like what you're thinking right now..
they did a very good job with the pre and only time will tell which is the better device between the iphone 3gs and the pre, it won't be the number of sales that'll tell.. we should wait for reviews for comparisons between the 2 new phones!! can't wait for the upcoming reviews and comparisons between the phones!!!!

correct! this phone does not have a memory card slot for expansion.. it has 8 gigs of built in memory though..

yep CDMA so no sim cards needed..
it's not a gsm device..
dunno though if they'll be comming up with a gsm version for the rest of the world in the future..
if there will be one it'll be next year coz Sprint has this phone exclusive to them until the end of the year..

incorrect..
you can't use the pre on a prepaid plan and you cant use it on boost..
boost uses the iden network of nextel while the pre uses the sprint network..
even if you purchase the phone for the full price you won't be able to use it for prepaid with virgin mobile as well..
you can only go on a month to month basis with this phone..

for now come 2012 they don't have to honor it anymore, and with sprint tiny native footprint and the rest of the world going LTE, it's even looking worse for them.
well, one thing is that sprint doesn't have a "tiny" native footprint.. maybe you don't know what your talking about.. please do your research before you post an uneducated comment. alryt? and all of the other carriers are just starting their 4g or their lte network, while sprint ...

even without verizon sprint still has very good coverage.. that's a fact!
and the widest, fastest most reliable data network of all the carriers right now!

aside from a low monthly charge with everything unlimited, sprint also has the widest and the fastest network for data! beat that!

the contract with alltel and the treo pro could have been signed before the verizon-alltel merger..
cause i actually thought that the treo pro has an exclusive contract with sprint, and if this phone will have a verizon logo on it, there might be a problem there..
