Re: reception in rural areas

Being a 3g phone, and since most 'rural' areas have not yet been updated to 3g coverage, it might be wise to get this phone, but keep your old bar phone for when you go out to these rural areas, then you can just pop your simcard in the old phone and use that one temporarily for service. The best way is to try it out... you do have 30 day trial to try phone out as long as you ...

It's possible to. You just wouldn't be able to use the phone to its full capability.

Actually... they don't.

There was one batch of the Matrixs' manufactured that had faulty sliders and were recalled; those whose matrixs' had the faulty sliding mech. are able to exchange them via warranty; other than that they are still being sold, and have not had any problems since that one batch. This is a great phone for the text-savvy. I would still agree though that insurance is a good idea for this phone, for the dual slider makes it more prone to damage.

Re: How do you listen to the music??

in the LG Vu / CU920 / CU915 forum

You can listen to it via Bluetooth, but you do have to have a STEREO blueetooth (two headphones) headset to be able to listen to the music that way. The only one-earbud bluetooth I know of that plays music through it is the Jabra BT8040. When using the stereo bluetooth, have it synced up, then when you have your music player going, go to your music options and there should be a setting to transfer the music via stereo bluetooth. Another ...

Re: Phone won't come on?

If the phone was completely dead before you put it on the charger, it typically takes about 5 minutes of charging before anything will even display on the screen . If it wasn't fully dead and it just stopped working, then it's time to warranty exchange the phone. Of course if there is physical/liquid damage they won't warranty it and it would explain the problem.

Nope. Most newer phones take out the option to be able to take the AT&T logo off of the main screen of the phone, or at least move it to a less noticable location on the screen.

Re: is there a way to zoom the camera?
Feb 25, 2009, 6:31 PM
in the LG Vu / CU920 / CU915 forum

I've been starting to notice a trend with newer phones that have a 2+ mp camera, and that is that they won't zoom when they are on the full 2mp camera setting. It usually states "cannot zoom, picture size is too big" if you try and zoom in. AT&T's website shows that the camera has 2x zoom on it (not very much). Most of the time, if you absolutely need to zoom, there is an option in your ...

Re: other options and data plan

A good alternative to the Vu could be the Samsung Eternity, another all-touchscreen phone. Eternity steps up to a 3mp camera, built in GPS, proximity sensor (turn the phone sideways when typing and auto-makes into full qwerty keyboard), and widget bar. If you don't add the unl. data plan (which has just been lowered by AT&T if you have an unl. text package), then you would be missing out on Cellular Video, access to Weather forecasts, e-mail, news clips, ...
