moto v505 vs razr
May 28, 2005, 10:40 PM
in the Motorola RAZR V3 forum

i am a current ATT customer and in this switch i find that i am no longer under contract so i can either migrate to cingular or switch carriers altogether. I currently have the 505 and i hate the way their multiple numbers per name still lists each number seperately for ex john home john cell etc. on the razr does it do the same thing or will the name just show up once like it did on ...

8O 2007 thats ridiculous by that time no one will be thinking about it. if it wasn't for the lousy service in the austin area i would gladly move to t-mobile just for this phone. time for ebay

 sorry but no love lost for the indirects. While i believe you when you say it's not ALWAYS indirect, most times its easier to make a quick buck if it doesn't come back to haunt you. Now i admit from this end there are just as many "bright" employees who make mistakes but at least then we know it isn't commision based.

 you gotta love those sales teams. Now not ALL sales reps are like that but most like squeezing out that extra dollar if they can get away with it.

customers are actually trying to get equipment unlocked which works for the carriers as well. Not only would we not have to worry about customers equip and subsidizing we could lose OUR wex teams and cut costs. Straight to the manufacturer they go. And that puts an end to FREE PHONES

you being an ex-customer just shows bias. There's a difference between i hate my service and i hate my job. I like working for the company. As far as my service goes it works everywhere i need it to and that like any customer is all that matters. I have A T 616 and this works like a champ. Any service is up to perception much like a brand. For example anyone here will tell you motorola ...

We had an offer like that with 2yr contracts but customers are shy about that kind of commitment. If you want to look around Most won't give discounts at all, some if you're in the last 2 months of a contract. :o I have a friend who is with cingular and when he migrated to gsm networks they charged him early termination because he broke contract on digital, yet he is still with the same company and ...

for the phone itself if you pruchase at full price it would not require a contract... HOWEVER when you migrate your services to gsm the new plan will not have any promotions associated with it (i.e nights and weekends or additional airtime) and those promos would require an extension of the contract itself so it would be better to just go ahead and get it with contract. If you migrate online you are eligible for online pricing. We don't ...

Upgrades and ETF

I had a friend who recently upgraded their service from a motorola v60 i to a samsung P 107 to start a family share plan and the store made him pay an ETF fee plus sign a new 2 yr contract. Is this standard policy or did he get taken. AWS allows customers who are migrating service to do so without any sort of penalty. Especially not any ETF fees.

Subtle Differences between roaming and Long distance
Apr 10, 2004, 12:55 AM
in the AT&T Wireless forum

I was reading another forum who brought up roaming charges and most carriers who have no roaming yet in the fine print there states roam xx.xx per minute. How many of you have been in that situation where the customer is disputing roaming charges. For the record Long distnce means you can call TO anywhere in the US from your HCA. Roam means placing a call outside of that home calling area. I bring this up because with the ...

Can't forget that small detail of explaining to the customer that roaming and Long Distance are 2 different things. how many times have you heard " but i don't pay no roaming my plan says free long distance so i think these charges should not be there. You guys lied to me. I want out of contract, thats it i am talking to my brothers girlfriends aunt's boyfriend, he's a lawyer. And i want the CEO of you company ...

Well advertising doesn't HAVE to cost a fortune. Just look at m&m's. For a while their commercials featured your average joe describing or re-enacting their favorite spot. Virgin mobile doesn't really have to put much effort into their spots. Naked people holding a phone with no contract. There are two things that consumers remember. No clothes and no contracts. 8O

in that same note though if you moto phone is crap, take it to the source. If you're phone broke it's not our problem. At some point people will learn that price does not equal quality. very little troubleshooting neccessary. If their phone has a problem, lockline or direct to manufacturer. "Well i paid 200+ for this phone and it blows, give me credit."

thats funny. that rep was trying to get off on time. I'm sorry to tell you like the others but those "boosters" aren't worth the 5.00 you paid. I called a care rep for sprint one time for my dad's phone and they mentioned it. I told them that is the dumbest thing i ever heard those thing don't work and the rep laughed. Along with 2 other carriers big guy. Its all about the money. People think the more you pay the better quality equipment you get. Get your story right. Siebel really messed us up. Most churn came from 3G customers or migrated customers who could not activate their phones. Cingular wasn't doing to hot the 3 days their GSM network went out.

oh jeez where to begin. i could start with the whole sentence "Don't by chance have a vested interest in this discussion by chance?" the honest truth is there are bad people everywhere. I have had customers where a vendor rep told them " oh sure if you pay us 100 a month we won't cut off your service" or "sure let me give you 1300 minutes for 39.99 plus free mobile to mobile for a one year contract." if the rep cannot fulfill offers they say oh my system just went down call back. well that seat will be relinquished when cingular takes over. Zeglis is taking his cushy sevrence along with the money he made off the shares he sold and enjoying the rest of eternity. Its a good thing employee perks come first. Just not the ones doing real work.

the sales division has to do the same thing only to a bit further extent. 8O When they are not busy they have to call customers coming up on renewal and offer any number of options to get them back in line with the rest. AT this point i am not quite sure the company cares what we think.
