Verizon and Bluetooth, Verizon and better phones, LG VX2000
Does anyone know when Verizon will offer phones with more features - no necessarily cameras, but things like bluetooth.
I was interested in the LG VX2000 because it had a speaker phone and the open faced bar style that I prefer to a flip phone. It seems that LG is not shipping the phone to Verizon, and although it has not been discontinued, the Verizon reps are saying it is no longer available. What is the answer?
Thanks
California Driving / Phone usage laws 1/1/04
Has anyone heard of changes to driving laws in California, effective 1/1/04? Supposedly it will be illegal to hold a handset to your ear while driving, you must use a head set, wired or bluetooth, hands free or speaker phone. If not you are subject to a ticket and appropriate fine. Is there any truth to the rumor or is it just a rumor?
If so, there would seem to be a big push for hands free, ...
Forum carrier discussion groups
Are the discussion forums for consumers or disgruntled employees to air their views?
I am a consumer looking for information that compares phones and technologies, but also information from a consumer stand point as to how the various carrier perform so that I might make an informed decision on the best carrier and phone solutions for my needs.
I have looked at the ATT discussion group for several days, and posted a couple of inquiries. It seems as though most ...
which is better? Verizon, ATT or Cingular, also number portability
I am in So Cal. Have had ATT TDMA for the last 4 years. It seems that the service has deteriorated over the last 6 months. I get no answers from ATT, although their customer care people try to be helpful. Are they trying to push customers to their new GSM? I am considering a switch to Verizon (for better coverage and service) or Cingular for phones with better features (bluetooth, world coverage, speaker ...
Cingular vs Verizon & ATT in So. Cal
Does anyone have an opinion of Cingular vs Verizon or ATT in Southern California? Of late my ATT TDMA service seems to be deteriorating, with no real help or explanation from ATT, although their customer service people try to be helpful.
Cingular seems to have good plans and phones, but I am concerned about call quality, the size of the network and customer service.
Any input is welcome. Thanks.

Re: AT&T TDMA vs GSM
I have checked into it. The phone works fine, no problems except when driving. Especially up and down the 5 freeway and 405 freeway in San Diego and Orange Counties. It is while driving that I experience the problems previously described. I have also noticed particular spots where I will have weak reception and/or dropped calls, that previously were not a problem, say prior to about six months ago.
I suppose that it still could be ...
AT&T TDMA vs GSM
I have been an AT&T customer for about 5 years. The offered much better coverage and service than Sprint. About a year ago I tried T-Mobile, that was a disaster that I won't repeat. Poor phones, poor service and poor customer treatment.
To my problem. For about the last six months my service seems to have deteriorated badly. Calls that echo in my ear-piece, calls that don't go through, a lot of static and interference. Dropped ...
