How do you get them onto the TF card in the first place? The whole thing is why should you have to pay to use telus's online service to download pics and ringtones when other BT enabled phones allow you to do this for free? AM

You can always try and sell or give your contract away, this is what I did with my telus contract which I was only a year into (on a 3 yr contract) there was a $25 admin fee and telus talked to the guy who was taking it over (he got my telus phone number too, but had his own telus phone) and that was it, no penalty, nothing. You can join up and advertise your contract at www.howardforums.com ...

I don't know that rogers is selling the V3 yet and if they are it won't be unlocked, but you can get it unlocked. Your cell number and phone book are all on the sim, you can take the sim out and put into any unlocked phone and it will work, once the sim is activated thats it, it will work in any rogers phone or unlocked phone. You don't need to buy a prepacked phone. AM

No you can't keep your number, you will have to get a new one, but thats a small price to pay to get a better phone and onto a GSM worldwide network. AM

Well I disagree with what thadrod says, I think Rogers has better GSM coverage outside of the GTA, but thats my opinion. One of the great advantages of a GSM phone is the sim card, it contains your entire address book, so when it comes time to switch phones, just pop the sim into your new phone and away you go, no more of this nonsens about copying your phone numbers to your new phone, I don't miss that ...

Get the motorola software package, mobile phone tools, then once its installed and connceted to your phone either by USB cable or BT, its easy to transfer files to and from the phone. The software is not free, you have to buy it at the cell phone store, its about $30-50 TG

Telus will tell you 'officially' that there is no way to use BT for anything but pairing it with a headset. However if you use google you will find that there exists a hack that will allow you to use BT to pair the phone with a PC and transfer photos and mp3 files to the phone and the TF card, but if you kill the phone its your tough luck. If I were you, I'd seriously consider dropping ...

I toronto I would say that Rogers and Telus have close to the same coverage, I use to be with Telus and I am with Rogers now, so I know of which I speak. The big advantage with Rogers right now is that their customers get to roam onto the Fido network in areas where Rogers is weak or overburdened, so this in effect broadens their coverage in the GTA. I understand completely when you say the phones from ...

I would read the reviews of this phone, the negative ones seem to point out that the carrier may limit bluetooth, the camera is of poor quality and reception is poor. I would talk to telus about their implementation of bluetooth and see if you can talk to anyone who has the phone and is with telus. I was with telus for 4 yrs (98-2001) and left to go to rogers because I was sick of their pathetic phones, ...
