AT&T Wireless announced that it has signed an agreement with T-Mobile USA, Inc. detailing how the two carriers will port customers’ phone numbers between them once local number portability takes effect on November 24, 2003. As much issues the V60's have i wouldn't get it even if it was free. defective antennas, reception and flip breaking off.

number portability is happening..per FCC..but yes in the major 100 cities..u would kind of have to wait to see when it came if u are affected.

t-mobile doesn't have service everywhere so i would see if anyone i knew had t-mobile in that area to see if they have problems..the best att or verizon

I did exactly what i told u and they are not coming out with anything...did u go to phone finder on the left side, click extended and then it should give u alltel, attws and so on. then whatever else i told u..u could also do different carriers..do attws extended search and select the items u want in a phone and click search on the very bottom of the screen, not the first search button the last one bottom ...

Actually in gainesville u probably are roaming, but u might want to do research on the rest of florida..i work for customer care attws and hate to hear that u want to switch to verizon..we get alot of calls where verizon isn't too good in most of fl. what kind of plan are u on and what are some of the issues u are having if u don't mind?

really cuz when u go in it states cingular is the only one that will have the v60it..who knows..we just have it as v60i color.

go to phone finder and go to extended and check alltel and the other phone options and what u would like in a phone and click search and it should tell u the phones they plan on coming out with in the future..attws has a few nice phones coming out in the 4 quarter..check it out questions let me know.

we wouldn't get to much traing being in Care, but we are just going thru training for a new system to do acct..we do existing accts not having to activate new cust and all that....thank god

not necessarily true..when worldcom (mci) went bankrupt and ATTws, Verizon and Cingular got their cust, the cust lost their insurance. It didn't carry over..let's just hope that doesn't happen.

I couldn't tell you. ATTWS has nothing to do with att landline and their decisions. We get alot of calls asking about landline services.

gsm on att doesn't have as many dropped calls as tdma because of the different system it is on...no service is because gsm is not everywhere yet just like tdma was not everywhere when they were going from analog to digital..u have to be patient..that is what the 30 day window is for to try the service in your area with att.

there is a trick to the pooling..that number has to be available in the next carriers pool...its tricky i can't really explain it

I work for ATT cust care and i feel bad for u guys...we haven't even found out if anything will change on how we will look up a cust. If there insurance on their old carrier will carry over..stuff like that..it surely will be a pain i guarantee.

I work for ATT wireless and your best bet is to wait til after the portability goes in affect to see the competition of prices.

There was an all employee conference today for ATT wireless and NO ATTWS is not merging with anyone. By the way I work for ATT wireless so the conformation was verified by the CEO. Attws will not have to change its name if ATT corp merges...has nothing to do with wireless.
