I want to know how to disable ATT network data usage on the phone. Is there anyway I could do this so I do not get charged for used data on their network? I just want to use wifi and wifi only. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated :) Thank you

Obviously ATT has their unlocked phones, but does verizon have an equivalent? I don't want to be forced to use the evil empire's phones that is stripped of all of its good properties if I do not have to.. Thanks

would it be possible at all to buy the phone for full retail (without the contract) and then just activate it to your plan? thus bypassing all of the crap verizon makes you buy aka $30/month for a data plan. i have an older family plan, which is why i am asking.

$30 a month for both e-mail and internet. verizon just required 2 days ago that all PDAs have the same data plan as blackberrys.
