I highly doubt it. Both Metro PCS and Leap are too small to acquire a carrier the size of Sprint. At this point, I don't see Sprint being bought out by anyone given the credit crises, etc, who would finance such a takeover?! And with Sprint's current debt, it would be a deal breaker. ...

From what I understand it should be pantech's OS which is very smooth and responsive. Their newer phones have been relatively impressive. They tried the windows mobile experiment and it failed so it'll probably be a while before we see another pantech windows mobile device. :)
I had their first windows pantech smartphone and it was just awful. The phone was fun but then it stopped being able to make calls.
This phone rocks!

The 30 day trial period is what ATT is talking about. Verizon allows you to test drive our network for 30 days. If you cancel within the 30 days you must return your phone, or pay the full retail price to keep it.

Rich, the Pantech PN 820 has been discontinued.
It is no longer available from Verizon's site, which was the only place customers could get the phone. I just wanted to let you know so you could update your site. Thanks.

Does it really matter? I've had both carriers, both are good, but I prefer Verizon in my area. AT&T was decent, and they have great phones, so who cares, honestly I think both carriers are about the same, except I do think Verizon's coverage here in the states is better.
First week with Verizon.
So far I am well pleased. My calls are clear, the coverage is great, except on certain parts of campus (where I had good coverage with AT&T) but I am wondering if I call Verizon and tell them we could use a tower in the middle of campus if they would consider it.
Now about the PN 820 phone:

The way you wrote it looks like AT&T is suing Verizon Wireless. Maybe it's the dorky law student in me, but I had a good laugh, and I am sure AT&T has probably sued Verizon at some point over something... 8O

I am a new Verizon customer
And I've called customer service with questions, and they are always so helpful and so polite. I really like them.
I used to have T-Mobile, they had good customer service too, but their coverage was blah.
I used to have AT&T
I liked the company, but the call quality is so-so. AT&T has slow data services. Seriously. I've sent myself MMS messages and it sometimes takes hours to get them.
Whereas, with Verizon, I get my MMS instantly, and the data speeds are so much faster.
But more importantly, Verizon's coverage here is much better and their signal strength is solid.
Again, AT&T was decent, but Verizon is certainly an upgrade from AT&T.
But this is just my opinion so please ...

AT&T is currently number one in subscribers because when it was Cingular it acquired the old AT&T Wireless and became number one in 2004.
Verizon Wireless is now doing the same thing that AT&T did four years go.
