I seriously doubt this will be a TMO device. The only touch Samsung they have set for this year will be the T919.

Aside from the Blackberry claim shell there will be a Samsung touch called T919 aka as Tocco. The other phones are pretty much the same as the old that I'm aware of. The current TM506 is full 3G and really rocks.

The link you were given should work. If not call TMO back and ask for unsupported handsets dept. They will help you.. and I promise your phone won't explode.

As you mentioned TMO customer service is second to none. But you should also receive quality cell service as well.
I changed from VZW to TMO and noticed a difference in quality and feel this is due to the technology.
But contact customer care and see what they can do for you.

I can't comment on the G1 because I haven't used it yet.
TMO is agood provider. I have had no problem roaming, usually on ATT. btw according to the TMO rep I spoke with their is no change is the roaming agreement with ATT.
I get a great 3G speed on my TM506, according to several tech sites faster than ATT. ATT has 3G in more areas but the quality is what I care about. Plus as you most likely ...

I didn't post that info but I saw it on one of the blogs .. actually I think it was a yahoo tech blog or the wsj tech blog. He tested 3G in NYC I think.
It seems a little too good to be true to me. I currently have the TM506 and get great speed but not quite that fast.
Blackberry Clam Shell Release
The 8220 used to be known as the kickstart .. the first Blackberry clam shell will be released on 10-13 according to a TMO agent I spoke with today.
I am guessing this will be the last new BB released this year. (aside from the upcoming Pearl colors).

You might have a case to make if any of the thread were factual. ATT & TMO are still tightly locked into their roaming agreements.
If you're having an issue roaming where you once were able to call tech support and let them know.

It should work on TMO netowrk. Howeveryou probably will need to check with TMO or Moto for a firmware update to use all of TMOS features.
Many people bring unlocked phones to GSM carriers with few issues.

If email is important to you then stick with the BB for now. The G1 doesn['t support business email servers as yet. However, if you want a multimedia phone with solid web access you'll want the G1
Also, the $179. is for those in upgrade status. Otherwise, to reserve one now its full price.
