I hate the concept as a customer and as an employee.....
Your cell phone bill should be CLOSED to outside companys....
I cant understand the concept of ALLOWING a company to bill your customers for somehting that MIGHT or might not have been click at the wrong time....

Only around 20% of these cases ever end up in a judgment.
Less then 4% of these types of lawsuits go to jury.
81% of what DID go to jury(not bench)ended up in favor of the defendant.
What is tricky is if HTC was found not guilty of 15 and found guilty of 5 that is still "in favor" of apple but that would change the landscape as we know it , THAT would indeed hurt ...

humm...android is growing so fast.... The OS is update all the time , Vendors have to make the hard choice on when to push out updates...
I actually like HTML5 on my android....not alot of content out their in HTML5..but it looks great on the android... I do like my HTC flash player it runs fantastic as well , and since I can get alot more content for it I am damn glad i have it.

The "service" that is provided all over the nation.....has a price to maintain.

the company I work for takes 11 months to break even on a r300.

I would bet that is only on some more rare cases that involve Data and blackberry BIS contracts.
I am sure they average in a customers use of resources ( IE the customer that comes in once a month becuase he/she does not understand her Blackberry ECT....)

Companys pay a TON for the devices.
The price on the phones does not tell the whole story.
If a carrier wants a certian Device , lets say a Motorola.....
Moto will FORCE them to buy 3 other devices to get The Device they actually want.
When the Other Devices DONT sell , they are left with the Money they have to EAT on that device just to move it.
Not to mention that data Phones age FASTER then Cars.

Its VERY easy to belive that there are cases were they do not break even at 23 months once you factor in HOW MUCH of a time SINK Advance devices are for the Employee base.

So ATT does not have a great 3g footprint , but even were they have 3g they have bandwith issues.
they want customers to check for wifi before they look something up on thier phone?

Stuff like Voip is in a grey area now. ITs possible , but Sprint is not going to help you figure it out , they dont support Voip.
With Thethering , I am sure they would shut you down very fast if they could figure it out.

They CANT change the terms of your contract unless you agree to it.

Multi-media is a bandwith hog... but all the smartphones do that now.
I would think the WORST bandwith phone On a 24 hour basis would be the BIS or BES blackberries.

The new Sense Driven HTCs are non stop as well
The New htc Androids Sync nonstop all day with Flicker/facebook. So thats nonstop media wether you wanted it or not.

The company I work for only has about a million customers....
We have an APP on all our android phones that lets the Customer Open a chat up with Customer support. We are able to pinpoint the problem location and get it to system support With a push for the button to get a network team out to look in to the issue if need be.
The tools exist......
At the end of the day...its still only an Iphone on ATTs sucky ass 3g netowork
Lets face it......
The Iphone is BARELY on par with the "value" Androids like the HTC HERO when you ignore stuff like 3g network avaliblity and batt life.
How in the hell is it going to deal with the new Snapdragon powered phones that launch 3rd QTR this year?
Hell at the rate android is growing by the summer we are probably going to be looking at Android 3.0

ITs night and day when a phone does it on our network since It logs in to Data with a diffrent log in to tether.
What you want is
1. a PROXY that will use the Base Mobile IP config regardless of data access type
2. know how to edit your Mobile IP config

they Heavly discount thier upfront Phone prices espically on data phones , the trade off is they have been doing $360 dollar ETFs for at least 2 years ( it goes down 15 dollars a month)
the coverage is the best by miles , their Data bandwith is outstanding. They have GREAT roaming partners so thier Nation wide coverage is flawless.
and Rate prices are insane.
