Just wait another month or two for the G1 Blaze (i think they are calling it) to come out. From what I was told from a HTC rep, "it will be a beast". Most likely t-mobile's first HSPA+ handset... that or the mytouch HD at least.

Do you have a hard on for me now? Funny that you try to call me out and say that I am wrong in what I post but you have no idea what you are talking about. Are you typing these from an indirect kiosk? Or maybe a costco stand? I'm sorry, I shouldn't even say that because even those indirect sales reps know basic information like contracts and outsourcing.

If you work for T-mobile then you should know that a customer on a granfathered rate plan is required to sign a two year contract when migrating over to a "Even More" rate plan. Once the customer is on an "Even More" account there is no penalty to switch rate plans. T-mobile has always placed a customer under a one year contract when switching rate plans as long as it was a "promo" plan. You ...

Umm.... I've heard of prototype wireless cargers that can charge your phone. I think that was actually on phonescoop a while ago. I've never heard anything about wifi charging tho.

To back up your apps I would sugget "Appmanager" from developer zx128. You can save every app on your phone to you memory card unless the app is protected, in that case you would have to... do complicated things but you can still back it up.

Installing an app from a memory card does NOT require rooting. If you want to run the app from memory card you would have to root it. I'm not sure if the backflip will allow this tho, first time i have heard about the phone not being able to download from "unknown source".

None aroudn that i've seen, they are basically just applications that you run on the phone that make it look like android. This takes way too much cpu usage and the phone runs pretty slow.

Yes, since the market is brand new there are still limited amount of apps. You can also download a third party maretplace full of freeware from freewarepocketpc.net. The app is "OpnMarket 1.0". I forget where i found it but it should be easy to find on google.

Just to play devil's advocate... why would they just make it free and not tell anyone when they could inform everyone to use their cell phone to contact loved ones for free? If you had a friend in Haiti and were being charged per minute from your house phone wouldnt you want to be notified immediately that you could just call from your cell phone for free? Of course this is to make themselves look better and obtain more customers.

Sure... because a sales person doesn't prefer to sell a certain phone he can be fired. EVERY sales person has a preference in which phone they sell. I personally hate selling sidekicks and would much rather offer a G1/blackberry instead (mainly because i hated troubleshooting the sidekick 2). If somebody comes in and says," i want the 2008 sk" , i would fr sure sell it to them but i would never go out of my way to offer ...

Kinda confused about this back and forth arguement. Both of you realise that most pda phones coming out for t-mobile have built in gps which can use telenav or just free google maps which gives you turn by turn directions. I do realize it wont correct your route if you make a wrong turn but most people can figure out how to get back to the main road if they miss a turn, i dont need a GPS device ...
