Cingular will be getting a "rose" colored RAZR special for valentines day. There will only be a limited amount. They are supposed to cost $199.99 on a 2-year contract. They will not be available after the original stock is gone!!

it is way better than nextel. I work for cingular and have had a PTT phone for over a month. The connection time is a little longer, about 5-8 seconds, but once the conversation gets going, it is about a 0.2 second delay.

I work at a Cingular store in CT. We will have the ROKR's as soon as tomorrow. Just looked it up in my inventory system and found out they are being overnight shipped from the warehouse. $249.99 with a 2-year contract. Not a bad deal for a phone, iPod, camera, bluetooth, and all that other cool stuff.

Cingular Version
I work for Cingular. I found a picture on our internal website of the x497. Looks kinda similar to the one on here, however there is a little stubby antenna. Also it is all silver, no black on it at all.

Razr Headsets?
What do they look like? How much are they? Where can they be purchased?
Black Razr
I work for Cingular. I was informed by upper management that we will be receiving the Black Razr around the first week of July. No word on price, but I can't see it being more than the Silver version. Maybe $50 more, but I am unsure. I will post more info whenand if I get it.

I work at a Cingular store. A Nokia rep. just came to my store and told me about 3 new phones coming for Cingular this summer. The 6102 is one of them. Ours will be the silver with black and T-mobile will be getting the all silver one. She wasn't sure of a price yet, however she expects it to be some where in the $100-$150 range. A couple other really cool ones too. ...
Bluetooth
I say drop the PTT feature in favor of bluetooth. PTT is probably still a while from being available from Cingular. Hopefully Nokia will figure this out and add bluetooth and kill the PTT idea.

I work at a Cingular store in CT. My district manager told me he spoke with Nokia people who confirmed that this model will be out in the early summer some time. No exact date however. I personally can't wait, I love Nokia and I have always wanted a flip phone from them. :D

I actually work in a former AT&T location. I have people coming to my store after visiting the legacy Cingular store across the street. They say that the folks at the other store are clueless to everything and that we are a lot more aware of new phones and promotions.

Okay, two things.
1. You can't just claim that you work for a certain company. If you want to get corporate discounts, you need to show some sort of credentials to prove you work for them.
2. Cingular does not offer corporate discounts to customers the way that AT&T did. ...

If all you care about is looks, then buy the RAZR. Besides the design, it doesn't have anything more than the V600. If you want a new Motorola phone, you really should get the V551. It is EDGE for internet and also records video clips.

go to support.attws.com from there you can send a SMS with new browser settings right to your phone. Just select Device Setup Tools and choose the reconfigure mMode link. very easy to do.

I work for New Cingular (Formerly AT&T), we will have these phones as of Monday 11/15 also known as Day 1 of the merger. Not sure of the price yet, but expect it to be around $300-$500.

No, all AT&T phones are SIM locked. You will have to wait until the merger is final or find an unlock code yourself. AT&T doesn't sell any unlocked phones.

just compare them right here on PS. do a search for the MPx220 and clcik the compare button, then when it asks you what to compare it to just search for the SMT 5600. It is very simple.

I apologize, they won't be in for at least 2 more weeks. This and the Motorola MPx220 should be in around the same time. The one we got today was just a display model that we can't even activate yet. From what I have heard since my last post, this phone will be in the $200 neighborhood with a two year contract.

You won't be able to get it unlocked, however AT&T will be carrying this phone by the first week of October. Great price too, only $39.99 with 2 year contract.
