I work in cell phone sales. We make the majority of our money from data packages. Why purchase a data device if you aren't going to use it to the fullest extent? Most companies give you 30 days to test the device you buy. If you think it's not worth what you're paying for, then bring it back. AT&T is such an amazing and generous company. I wonder if they will also provide the same thing to people in Baton Rouge/New Orleans. I'm sure stupid, dishonest people will take great advantage of that, though.

Make sure that AT&T offers discounting for that particular corporation. If they do, then bring proof of employment and your ID into a corporate location, and they will give it to you.

The web issue is being resolved July 11. The GPS issue is also being resolved on July 11. An MMS update is expected to be released by the end of the summer, which would be nice. Not many people are concerned with video. I have yet to find any other phone that loads youtube, visual voicemail, and the ability to view live traffic cams and stocks.

Considering the fact that I have worked for multiple wireless companies, including AT&T, I have actually used quite a plethora of handsets. Overall sales obviously would not be very high on such an expensive handset. I saw so many returns with the older Moto RAZR due to the lack of durability. I used to work in a corportate location. You can try, but without the phone I am not sure if anyone can do anything for you. I would still try though.

Thankfully the somewhat slow internet issue will be resolved July 11 when the 3G phone is available. I'm still amazed with how much I can actually do online with my phone though. I have yet to see anything that compares internet-wise.

You're right. However there aren't many things that you can't do with an iPhone. Especially when you get into the web apps. I have web apps to track daily/monthly/yearly revenue, scheduling, word apps, and it already includes stocks. With 8gb of memory I haven't even occupied half of my phone yet.

If you are talking about a corporate discount on the price of the phone, then you will not get it (unless something has recently changed). Employees barely get a worthwhile discount on the phone, much less anyone else. If you have a service discount then you would still be able to use that. Just no discounting on the actual cost of the handset.

Bring the receipt and the phone into a corporate location. Make sure that you are authorized on your account, and bring a photo ID. If you have proof of purchase then an RSC would more than likely just put the phone on your account and note it for you. I would do it now before the new iPhone is actually in stores.

Apple influences decisions like that. AT&T merely carries the phone and provides the services for it. Apple controls the pricing and capabilities.

Although the companies may be merging (granted the merger is approved by the FCC), the network upgrade is taking place in major cities, and in places where VZW does not offer good coverage. Once the merger is complete (if ever) then VZW would acquire all of the new networking. Why stop expanding and improving?

The unlimited text to My Circle is FREE and also included with certain plans. The 7.99/mo that you pay adds a certain amount of text messages that you can send outside of Alltel and My Circle.
