Exactly. I had AT&T, and I loved them, I got pretty good service everywhere, maybe it was my area, I had great city coverage, I loved AT&T. Well, when I got promoted to my new job, I had to move, once I moved I moved to an area where AT&T service wasn't that great, and I'm not trying to diss AT&T, but the service in that area just plainly sucked. I rarely ever got more then 1 bar, ...

Thank you Sprint =)

I know nowadays, all you ever hear is how bad Sprint is, and blah blah blah, Well I just switched from AT&T, I moved to another area in the State, where AT&T coverage wasn't that great, so I was regretting the thought of going back to Verizon, or U.S. Cellular, but once I finally got moved in, I found a Sprint location in town, and I was excited. So I ended my AT&T contract and went into Sprint. ...

I believe I was at the 19 month mark when I re-signed because I had no choice, I'm not satisfied with it, So I thought the old contract was no longer valid since I signed a new one?? So I can't take my phone back, and get out of the contract and that I'm still bonded to the old contract?

Question about getting out of Contract?
Sep 4, 2008, 9:57 PM
in the U.S. Cellular forum

First of all I am Beyondmygrestness's brother, I'm just using his account to ask this question. I just resigned my USCC contract(I had no choice I needed a new phone, and I was available for an upgrade) Well, I got the LG UX-300, well in my contract it says we offer a 30 day gaurantee where we can return the product, and get out of the contract without the ETF. Does the apply to me? I'm not pleased ...

How does the monthly plan thing work for VM?
Sep 3, 2008, 6:30 PM

How does the Monthly Plans work for VM? I mean like how do you go to pay them, for example, do they send you like a bill every month or do you need a credit/debit card to use it or can you get a Monthly plan without a bank account?

Re: Question for my fellow Reps.

Actually in my area, Sprint gets way better coverage then USCC. USCC drops into roam almost everywhere(even in the "Wide Area" Spots, like in my area hold a USCC phone next to a Sprint phone and I'm willing to bet you that Sprint will have the better signal. Maybe its just my area.

I currently have AT&T, and may have to go back to Verizon because of the situation where I'm getting a promotion at work, and I'll have to move in oder to get that promotion and where I'm moving AT&T's coverage isn't at strong as I'd like it to be, when i went there to look for apartments there was alot of places where I didn't get service. I personally love AT&T, and really can't stand Verizon, so I'm looking ...

Am I the only person who likes Sprint? I've never had a problem with Sprint's CS, they've always helped me, I got great service even in low coverage areas, I don't care, what other people say, Sprint's been great to me! Theres no need for people to constantly bash Sprint, when they're not nearly as bad as some people act!

Sprints not bad at all, thats what I'm about to go to. I have friends and family who have Sprint and get great service, They've never had a problem. In Fact, I have a friend who left USCC for Sprint and is happy he did.

Verizon Question

I currently have AT&T, and love them, but I got a really good job opportunity, and I can't turn it down, in the process I have to move to another area in the state, where AT&T coverage isn't that great, Theres alot of areas there where I didn't get service when I went up there to take a look at apartments, I had no service in any of the apartments I checked, so I'm most definitely have to switch ...

I currently have AT&T. I love them, they're my favorite cellphone company(next to Sprint). I get service everywhere, at times it is abit Spotty, like on my brother's road he lives on, I get service on certain parts, but I don't other, but I never lose service too long. I have also had Verizon, and I didn't like them. They constantly over charge you, well they did me, my bill was consistently 250 dollars or more, I love ...

Well, I have AT&T, and really like the service, I get service everywhere, I really like the service. I don't have the BlackjackII but my bestfriend does and I have used her phone in the past(put my SIM card in it), and its a good phone, it takes a little while to get used to the buttons, it has pretty good battery life, lasts about 1.5 days and thats with loads of text messages, it DOES freeze sometimes, but ...

I agree with you, as much as I really don't like VZW(no offense what-so-ever) I agree, no theres no reason to bash another company, its just what works for you, I realize that Sprint, or AT&T doesn't work in some areas, but neither does VZW, T-Mobile, USCC, or anyone else. Its just what works where your at, and where I'm at Sprint works just as good if not better then VZW.

Yeah, thats one reason I'm kind of hesitant about leaving AT&T since they have SIM cards, Its easy to switch phones, I get a new phone about every 3 or 4 months, but thats normally no big deal, since I understand. I was even this way with Sprint, I just paid retail price, sometimes if you want a new phone you have to pay and thats exactly what i did.

Yeah he drives me nuts to, I'll admit I've had my bashing with USCC some, but I try to realize that some companies dont work for some people. Sprint works for me, maybe not for other ppl, AT&T also works for me, but that may not be the case for others. Just ignore him.

One of the main reasons I went to AT&T, I now have unlimited pix, txt, video and everything all for 20 bucks a month. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

In my opinion its not worth it, Verizon is a good service, but in the end your going to be paying alot more. I have AT&T, and love them, they have their downfalls, but they're pretty good, I get service everywhere, and I might be getting an Iphone3g. I had to pay the ETF to get out of an US Cellular contract, so I'm assuming you will have to do the same.

Sprints not that bad, I have friends and family who have Sprint and love them. EVERY company has their downfalls, Verizon over-charge you, AT&T(my current carrier)has spotty service(at times in certain areas) T-Mobile can have bad service, U.S. Cellular constantly roam, Good Luck trying to get service anywhere with Virgin Mobile, see every company has their downfalls, its not right to bash a certain company, its whatever works for you. I get service everywhere with AT&T. Even in the middle of nowhere. My uncle lives out in the middle of nowhere, and I get service, not very good service, but good enough to send text messages and make voice calls, meanwhile my uncle(he has a RAZR with VZW) can't get service in his house at all. He has to go outside to use his phone. I get service in his house, I had a 30 minute phone call in ...

I've had Verizon. I liked their service, but they're really expensive. Just for 4 people our bill was about 400 dollars a month, meanwhile when we were with Sprint it was only about 190 a month. I don't like their insurance policy, where they cut you off after like 3 phones. I currently have AT&T, and I get about the same service as my best friend who has Verizon, and pay less a month. I'd stick with AT&T if ...

Actually, I have friends and family who both have Sprint, and they've NEVER had a problem. In fact my friend's Sprint phone messed up, and they gave her a new one. Unlike USCC(which I've had) they give you a new phone, they don't give you a crappy loaner that doesn't work most of the time, for 2 months while your phone is being "repaired." Then you don't hear anything for like 2 months. Thats what happened when i had ...

Actually, USCC does roam constantly, no matter if you have a national plan or not. I currently have AT&T which is 10x better then USCC, but I used to have USCC and paid 150 dollars just to get away from them! TRUE STORY! Yesterday, I was out with my brother, and he has a National USCC plan, well we were in town and he was roaming(surprise surprise), my AT&T phone was dead due to me forgetting to ...

They don't listen b\c they're angry, and they don't understand, I'm assuming it was an older customer. I'm nice to customer service, b\c I understand how hard your job can be.

I had USCC, and I hated it. I switched to AT&T and get service everywhere, but anyhow, I'm glad your happy you found a service thats right for you. USCC just wasn't right for me, and I'll continue to dislike them, until they prove that they're better then AT&T or Verizon and they have yet to do that. But I'm glad you found a service that's good for you. Btw, it's a fact that AT&T service with a contract ...

Well I have AT&T now, but I never had them as Cingular, I had friends who had them as Cingular and still have them now as AT&T, and she likes them better now. She gets better service now, like she gets one bar in the local Target where she used to get no service(its a dead zone, I don't get service in our Target, but yet full bars in the parkinglot)

A few Sprint questions??
Jul 19, 2008, 8:15 PM

Okay, I currently have AT&T, but I'm kinda wanting Sprint again, see I had Sprint before, and loved them, they weren't bad at all, but when I had Sprint it was under my moms name, so I'm curious, how strict is Sprint's credit checks? I know I had to pay a deposit with AT&T, will I have to pay a deposit with Sprint, I know I don't have very much credit, so I figured I would. The little bit ...

I have AT&T, and travel quite abit, I use my phone alot(texting mostly, with some talking). I've been to Raleigh NC, Miami FL, Atlanta GA, and Albuquerque NM, all within the last 3 months, and there was rarely a place where my phone, didn't get service, I believe the only place my phone lost service was in parts of Alabama on the way to FL. I've never had a dropped call or anything. I talked to my mom ...

VZW is really expensive, I've had Sprint, VZW, U.S. Cellular, and now AT&T, and VZW was the most expensive, they say you pay for "better quality service" but in reality its not that much better. So far Sprint and AT&T have been my favorite services, Sprint is the cheaper of the two, but luckily I can afford to spend that few extra dollars with AT&T, I don't know anyone's situation so honestly Idk, but I know Sprint is the ...

Re: T-mobile or Att&T
Jul 17, 2008, 1:38 PM

I currently have AT&T, and love it. I live in the Eastern TN area, and T-Mobile sucks here, they only get service when in large cities. Well I have an aunt who lives in Florida, and she has T-Mobile. She gets great service there, but once she leaves the state that when it gets real Spotty. So it depends, on whether or not you travel a lot. I travel alot, actually just got back from Florida, I got great ...

Re: Coverage in NC?
Jul 17, 2008, 1:27 PM
in the T-Mobile forum

I live in Eastern TN area, and T-Mobile isn't strong here either(except in Chattanooga and larger cities) I mean you don't roam here, just not very good service. Anyway I have an aunt from Florida, and we had to go to NC last year and I believe she roamed. I believe that T-Mobile is buying out Suncom so later this year you will definately see strong T-Mobile coverage there.

Well no carrier is going to get perfect service in every part of the nation. I currently have AT&T and am very happy with it. Went to Florida and didn't lose service at all(except a few areas in Alabama, but that can be expected).

Re: Keyboard phone??
Jul 17, 2008, 1:20 PM

I have AT&T, the closest thing to a QWERTY board phone they have is the Pantect Duo, it slides like a normal phone but slides sideways(likes Sprints Rumor). But according to AT&T thats considered a Smartphone, you could try the LG VU, but other then that AT&T really doesn't have any non smart phone QWERTY board phones.

Re: Turning People Away?!

That's actually incorrect. One of my co-workers went into Verizon(remember bad credit), and wanted her to pay 500 per line. That's outrageous. She went to AT&T they wanted 100 dollars per line, so she has AT&T. I myself have AT&T, and had to pay the 100 dollar deposit.
