It's true! My husband had an a920 that worked for three years and six months after he jumped in the pool with it in the pocket of his trunks. He got to playing with a Hero when I was shopping for my Moment and found out how slow the Sprint Music Store really was, and upgraded. Not that the phone quit working, mind you, just that it was a dinosaur that he'd had for 4 years... ...

OK, thanks. Next: do I have to drive to where my dad lives to get him a local number, or could a web or phone associate do that?

OK, so since a certain senior citizen I know would rather sit with someone while they DIE  until a stranger comes along with a cell phone, rather than leave them to go get help (yes, it's happened twice now!) I'm looking to add large-button, big screen, easy to read and use ULTRA BASIC phone to my Sprint family plan for him. Does it exist? And can I get it from telesales with a local number ...

My Samsung m520 finally bit the dust yesterday, so I'm looking for a phone. I test-drove a Moment (because I've been very happy with Samsung in the past) but I was extremely disappointed. Sure, it was great for a little computer that fits in my purse, but for a phone it was lacking so I took it back. The ONE THING I did like about the phone was the proximity sensor on the touch screen...I did ...

Mabilo Ringtones is gone. I had to do a hard reset of my phone and lost it...and now it's gone from the market. Wah! Diane.

OK, never mind. In messing around, trying to consolidate my GMail and Blogger accounts, I'm now locked out of my phone and will have to take it in to a store to have it hard reset. That'll solve any problem! :D Diane.

Some of these I already have. I downloaded the Cube Music Player based on your review, and asked it to "fetch" the album art. It got "stuck" on looking for the art for my Mission: Impossible ringtone. So, no big deal, I figure just delete the ringtone and all will be well. Wrong, it's still stuck looking for the album art for Mission: Impossible. So I delete ALL the ringtones, my ringtone app, AND ...

I'm glad you're enjoying your experience with Sprint so far. Sprint has good coveragee. They have the most towers in our area (except for the local cell service). Samsung phones are solid. Sprint's problem is customer service. How much experience do you have in talking to Sprint? The day will come when you call *2 and whoever answers the phone can't or won't help you. Or you'll have a glitchy issue with a phone ...

If you TRULY want a tech support rep...what I've learned is that if you choose many of the options for tech support, you're going to get a customer service rep reading from a solution matrix script. If you choose the option for "phone not working" you're going to get an honest-to-goodness tech support rep. I'm with Sprint, so I can't guarantee this will work for all carriers...but it can't ...

Nope, no error message. It just wouldn't open at all. I got them to do an RTN and now my Music Store (and mp3 player) works just fine. HOWEVER...now the Pandora app that I had to re-download gives me a http error 302, "We're experiencing difficulty communicating with the Sprint network." My husband can use Pandora with no error, and tech support really doesn't know what to do. Do you know if the Pandora app ...

I've been a Sprint customer for close to five years. I pay my bill on or before the due date in most cases...now that my husband is collecting unemployment it's been a little tougher but I get it in within a few days. I don't feel entitled to a free phone...unless I have a $150 rebate coming to me and I choose a phone for $150 or less. I don't throw phones at people. I ...

An update became available for my phone right around the new year. I literally woke up one morning and the red light was flashing...said to click "OK" to update firmware. I did this. The next time I accessed the Sprint Music Store it asked me to update that software, so I did. After that the Music Store wouldn't load at all. The CSR said my problem didn't fit anything on her solution matrix, so ...

I'm so sorry you're having this trouble. I've had an m520 since last May, and I haven't had any trouble with the headphone/charger jack. I did have a couple of other glitchy issues (I'll post in a minute...don't want to hijack your thread). I have noticed that the volume when I'm just using a single-earpiece headset for making calls isn't what it should be...but only when using the voice dial. I'm looking into getting a ...

I don't know what a "master reset" is. We went to a Sprint (corporate) store over the weekend, and he called in to the tech support department. They sent a text message and re-updated the Music Store, which solved the problem. Heck, I could have done that! Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. :)

Hello everyone! Background: Earlier this week my Samsung m520 automatically recommended a firmware update. I completed the update. Then it asked me to register my picture mail acc't, which I did. Today I tried to access the Sprint Music Store, and it asked me to update that, too. So I did. Now I can't access the music store (or the songs on the memory card). The startup screen ("Java Powered" with the coffee ...

Hi...sorry, it's a Samsung m520. I took the phone to an authorized dealer since we don't have a Sprint store here, and they told me I don't need a PRL update. Since I haven't had one since I bought the phone (that I know of), I'd really like it to update. Plus, it keeps trying to install the upgrade every time I call *2!

In the camera menu (pictures) you can click on "my albums" and there's one for the memory card, one for the phone, and one for online albums.

The PRL update that wasn't

I've been trying to get a PRL update for two days. Every time I call *2, wait my minute or two, and hang up, the screen on the phone says "programming unsucessful", so I call *2 back and do it all over again. This has happened at least half a dozen times. Has anyone had this happen to them? What's gone wrong? TIA! :)

I just talked to "David" at Sprint. He said that in order to sign up for PAM you have to have the $30 data/Power Vision pack, with the premium tv, etc. I mentioned that I'd heard I could add PAM to my existing $15/mo Power Vision pack, and he apologized for the wrong information. For PAM you have to have the $30 plan. Just thought I'd share.

LOL...I posted this here because someone (below) suggested I not call customer care for this kind of thing. Tech support already tried your suggestion and screwed up my Power Vison. It seems to have been a Sprint thing, though. Sprint tech support question...Samsung m520

OK here is my problem: When I try to check my balance, minutes, plan details, content manager, messaging, dialing codes, web access...you get the idea...ANYTHING on the "My Account" menu from the Vision deck on my phone, I get "The page you requested has expired. Please clich "Home" to continue." This doesn't happen on my husband's phone.
