What are your thoughts on them? Personally, I think they are annoying and it is obvious that it is just another way to make advertising revenue. I love android because of it's ability to be very customisable, SPRINT ID's take away from that and give you a bundle of what Sprint thinks you would like... err I mean, what Sprint got paid to load in a bundle. I also hate how on certain phones (Optimus, Transform) they are required... ...

Take away Conference Calls altogether. I've been on numerous of conference calls and not ONE has been beneficial. All are a waste of time and everyone who is on them thinks the same, but yet corporate America thinks that they are the best.

I'm most concerned about the battery. The last time Sprint shipped a phone with an extra battery (The Upstage) it was a HORRIBLE phone. The fact that they are shipping it with an extra battery tells me that they know the battery is going to suck on it. Headache.

in the Article: Sprint Pushing ID Update to Epic 4G and Tab forum

Sprint ID is HORRIBLE. Bloatware and I am sure Sprint makes loads of money from the companies who have their Apps loaded in Sprint ID. The beauty of Android is the ability to customize your phone how you want. Have the Applications you want, and not the ones you dont... Sprint ID takes away from that and basically turns your phone into a mobile advertisement platform for whatever company your Sprint ID is on.

The other day I threw away a large trash can full of brochures, flyers, price plan books, posters, exc.because Sprint decided to put out new material. I understand that we need to change out things form time to time, but most of this was unnecessary. The new price plan book had the EXACT information as the old ones, the only difference I could find was the front cover had a different picture on it. This kind ...

I don't want Sprint ID on my Epic. I don't want to have to root my phone, but if Sprint is going to force me to put that awful Sprint ID on it - I may have to. Sprint ID is a waste, and mostly useless.

Re: Long Term plan for Indirect Channel?
Oct 14, 2010, 3:57 PM
in the Sprint forum

They treat all of the Best Buy stores as one entity. So volume incentive bonus is not really the same as it is with the indirect channel. If all of the indirects were treated as one entity when it came to volume incentive, then we would be able to offer the phones at the same price as Best Buy, and be able to compete on a fair playing field. I suppose I am just disgruntled, because as a Store ...

Long Term plan for Indirect Channel?
Oct 14, 2010, 2:51 PM
in the Sprint forum

What do you guys think the long term goal is for the indirect channel? By the actions that Sprint is and continues to take, it is obvious that Sprint wants customers to go to Best Buy, Radioshack Wal-Mart, rather than going to an Indirect Sprint retailer to purchase the phones. Why do you think this is? As more and more people realize you can get the phone at Best Buy for much cheaper, then where does that leave ...

I "ASS"ume nothing. I know from first hand experience dealing with Boost customers how great they are at paying their bills... Funny thing is, the can't pay their cell phone bills, but they almost always have shiny nice new rims on their cars. Stereotype much?.. perhaps. But work in this store for more than a month and see if you don't do the same.

Sprint could care less about being "green". Just today we had to reprint 5 pages worth of price tags that were to just printed out two days ago. We had to reprint them because one of the price tags (out of about 50) had a typo. This mandate went out to the 4000+ Sprint stores. That is over 20,000 pages of paper wasted. I said it before, and I'll say it again. The only green these ...

Companies that are in trouble do this crap all the time. Radioshack just did it about a month ago. Speculation of sale almost always makes the stock price jump up, that way the bagholders can sell their shares at an artificially inflated price. It is also a good way to put the squeeze on the people who are shorting the stock. I'm not buying this for sale crap. Companies in desperation mode will try just about anything ...

I already avoid Radioshack because I go there in there, the underpaid staff is desperately trying to shove a cell phone down my back.
