40 more mins!
Only 40 minutes left. Then I don't have to work until Thursday! Wohoo! Anybody else about to end their shift?
Re: actually!
I think my customers are ignorant enough without accepting ridiculous religious teachings :P
Home stretch!
One hour left!!! Then I get to go home and jam on my new Les Paul!
Do's and Don't's of Getting Courtesy Credit from Customer Service
Alright, so I have composed of list of things to do, and things to avoid doing when trying to get credit from Customer Care. Feel free to submit any other suggestions you might have.
Do's
---------------------------- ------------
DO admit that you may have made a mistake that caused a charge.
DO offer to change your plan accordingly to prevent it from happening in the future.
DO be kind to the agent you are speaking with. Afterall, they have the final say as to whether or ...
Re: You have got to be kidding me!
Lol, I would have done the same thing.
Telecom call centers in Las Vegas?
So my friend and I are considering a move to Las Vegas (from Oregon) in a few months, and I was wondering if anybody knew of any customer service call centers in Vegas, preferrably for a cellular provider. I currently work in customer care for Sprint, and have for a year, so a job in another center would be an easy transition. I did a brief search last night online, but didnt seem to be able to find any. ...
Re: Funniest notation
ANYWAYS, let's get back to hilarious that note was....
Re: Why are people so stupid?
You think THAT is an example of stupidity? You should try working in a call center for Sprint customer care... These people redefine retarded on an hourly basis....
Re: regarding the note
Lol those scenarios are classic. No matter how much we might try to help the customers, we apparently still have no idea what we are talking about  For sure she is going to call back when she gets her bill saying something like "I asked my daughter how many she used, and she said she didn't use anywhere near 3000 messages!". And, as we all know, teenage girls NEVER lie, especially when they are about to get ...
Re: Insurance from Sprint
Actually, the insurance covers whatever was part of the loss. So in in instance of water-damage, they would assume the battery was toast, however that is not always the case. And they would actually require the battery back with the phone if you had it. However, if you tell them you lost the phone, you get to keep the battery, which may or may not work. PLUS it's entirely possible for your phone to get lost in the mail ...
Re: Love The Gratitude
Why is it that people feel they are entitled to free stuff because they have been a customer for a long time? I can't seem to get free gas from the gas station I have been frequenting religiously for the last 3 years. I can't get a free TV from Wal-Mart even tho I buy all my groceries and crap there. I can't get a free sweatshirt from Macy's despite how pairs of jeans I buy there. And it ...
Rudest thing I have ever said to a customer...
So a customer requested a supervisor and the call came to me in sup queue. The agent's name was Jeremy (my name as well).
Me: Hi ma'am, thanks for holding. My name is Jeremy, I am a supervisor here at Sprint.
Cust: (angrily) The agent I was just speaking with was named Jeremy!
Me: Right, but sometimes two different people have the same name....
maybe it's not as bad as it sounds, but it seemed really rude to me, lol
Re: best company to work for??
Google.
Re: Insurance from Sprint
For shizzle. however I recommend just saying you lost the phone, so you don't have to send the damaged phone back, and you can keep the battery in case it still works.
**NOTE: Recommendation provided qualifies as insurance fraud**
Re: How I wish cellphone companies worked...
Lol ahhhh yes. People are smart.
Re: DIRTY OLD MAN!!!
Because the truth isn't always information we would should disclose....
Re: Stupid People...
Funny story, I was describing that phone to a customer and I was talking about how it has a touch sensitve screen for the media controls. The customer asked "Oh, so it's kind alike the iPhone then?"
Re: It's Free!!!
Lol that's great. Customers just expect the world. What's even better is when they get mad because we won't sell them a phone for the price they want, yet they expect it because "they have been a good customer so long". WATAF? Is there anything else you really get a discount on because you have been a good customer for so long? I frequent the same gas station and spend $100+ every month there. I'm gonna go piss and ...
Re: Stupid People...
Wow. I remember when I was 10, it was a good christmas if I got the Power Rangers action figure I wanted.... Now, it's like parents just hand their kids $400+ phones like it's no big deal.
Re: Were you raised in Interuptville?
I usually just disconnect when this happens....
Re: TELESALES AS TRANSFER DEPT!!!.
Well, he works at a call center. And unless he's the GM, he's obviously not that well educated, or he'd have a better job 8O
I wanna' talk to the CEO!
Why do customers even make that ridiculous request? Sorry, my CEO is too busy sleeping with supermodels and swimming in money to care that you were without cell service for a week. Is there anything I can help you with? I get paid basically nothing, which is, coincidentally, about how much as I care about what you have to say.....
Re: Warranty what?
Luckily, I work for Sprint, and we basically don't have a warranty process. It's sweet.
Re: I am.........
Why don't you? It's a blast and its great exercise.
Re: TELESALES AS TRANSFER DEPT!!!.
So......... You suck at your job? Is that what you are getting at?
Re: TELESALES AS TRANSFER DEPT!!!.
what are you talking about?
Re: FREE
It's actually more like $3-4 worth of electronic parts, but whatever.
Re: I am.........
I probably will. I gotta let off some steam. There is a 13 year old in there that almost weighs as much as I do.... It's messed up. The rest of the class consists of children under 10 years old and under 100lbs.
Re: DUMBEST PROBLEM OF THE DAY
I seriously feel like a 2nd grade teacher with all of these basic math lessons I have to give to customers.
Cust: I don't understand my bill.
Me: Have you ever attended grade school?
Cust: No.
Me: Shocker...
Re: DUMBEST PROBLEM OF THE DAY
Here is my favorite scenario actually!
Cust: Blah blah blah my bill is messed up you guys charged me X, Y and Z charges!
(feel free to input whatever random charge customers complain about for the variables)
Me: I'm sorry, but the charges are correct, there's no error there.
Cust: Yes there is!
Me: Sorry, no error. No adjustments are going to be issued.
Cust: Well I'm not paying this bill.
Me: Sounds good. Anything else I can help you with?
Re: ? about my phone breaking all the time....
Other than what has already been offered to you, I wouldn't count on any alternatives. Obviously, Sprint doesn't manufacture the phones, so we are not liable for any of their defects/issues. It's rare that somebody goes through that many phones in that timeframe, but it can happen. If it comes to the point where you might consider cancelling your service as a result of this issue, please contact our acct services department for a possible retention offer. (866) 235-1185(for ...
Re: Why Sprint Why
Is there an article on that page? If so, you should c/p it into your post so I can read it here at work =).
Re: DUMBEST PROBLEM OF THE DAY
You haven't been taking calls for long, have you? That's pretty dumb, but thats just about a 5 out of 10 on the moron scale... Regardless, I could tell you the dumbest thing I have had a customer say. That's I giant archive of memories I'd rather not touch 8O
I am.........
Tired. Extremely tired. It is 4:00AM here and I am at work for 10 hours. But atleast after that 10 hours I get to teach annoying kids Judo for another hour and a half... And I didn't sleep last night. I am not complaining, just thought you should all know.
Re: Insurance
Let's remember that he got it for a new contract. Generally you aren't offered a discount every time you purcahase new equipment. So if he wasnt eligible for a discount it would be upwards of $500....
Re: Rant about annoying custy!!!
As we all know, if you request a supervisor/manager, all of your wildest cellular dreams will come true
Re: Insurance
I recently lost my 6800 and got a brand new one, non-refurbished, for the $50 deductible. Sick.
Free mobile business/financial management software?
So I am going to be starting my own small business (probably start selling product via ebay store before I start my own website), just as a way to supplement my income. I'm generally a very disorganized person and was wondering if anybody knew of any free mobile software/apps that I might be able to use to organize my finances/stock. I have a Sprint HTC MoguL(PPC6800 w/windows mobile 6.0)
Thanks
Jeremy
