The DOJ will probably only allow AT&T to acquire spectrum in markets that Verizion and Alltel existed but that AT&T did not yet have a presence.

Looking for info on US Cellular's legacy networks.
Does anyone have any information on US Cellular's legacy networks such as when they will be shutting them off? The best info I can find states that it will be late 2008.
Also, does US Cellular have both an AMPS and a D-AMPS (TDMA) network?

I was wondering if anyone can point me to any announcement or information on Tracfone and their discontinuance of the use of AMPS and D-AMPS (TDMA).
Did they choose to end service with the shutdown of AT&T and Verizon's legacy networks?
Did they or do they use any other carrier's legacy networks, such as Alltel, since they are doing a phased shutdown, or US Cellular, since they are shutting down later in the year? Any other carriers?
Also, Does NET10 use just ...
Looking for information on Current Subscriber Numbers
Does anyone have any information on the current number of wireless subscribers of SouthernLINC?
The most recent information I can find is a web page from Nov 2006 stating it currently had 300,000 wireless subscribers. http://telephonyonline.com/mag/telecom_rural_ carriers_roam/
