Mine is unlocked. They gave me a code on December 13th. I tried it with my third party Passport SIM and after entering their 8 digit unlock code it never asks for it again. Verizon also sent me their free Global Support Pack SIM.
Call their Global support group in South Carolina. Eventually they will start giving everyone a subsidy code to unlock the phone. It does not need to be unlocked to work their own SIM.
Re: cost for overseas use?
Calls to or from the phone when overseas are about $1.29 or $2.49 per minute. They will sell this phone unlocked so you can put in your own European SIM. I have a phone on order and a SIM card to test. I hope it works because my SIM allows free incoming calls while in Europe.
Playing 3GP Video on Voyager
I converted a movie to 3GP with 320x240 resolution. I have a 2 gig Sandisk mini SD card that came preset with several folders. My Music, My Video etc. I added some mp3 music to the My music folder and the 3gp movie to the My Video folder. I also just put some mp3's on the mini disk, not in folders.
But nothing will play on the Voyager. Anyone know what needs to be done. The Verizon ...
