Re: Republicans...
Carriers and ISPs have been innovating without a problem in the last couple of years, so don't let corporations feed you that BS.
Re: Service still sucks
Like I said "to me the service was terrible", I was paying twice as much than with t-mobile and the data service sucked. Aside from being slower it was spotty and the call quality was like I was talking to robots and the dropped calls, and this was around May last year. It might work for you, but for me it sucks.
Service still sucks
At least for me the service was terrible and the call quality was like being on a cell phone 10 years ago.
Re: Sweet, so you're gonna let the people know in advance...
I wasn't aware there was set top box bill, and here I thought cable companies were being nice about offering these free apps for subscribers.
Re: Net Neutrality
I would hope so, but I personally think it would have been easier to leave it as it was than giving customers headaches from switching one company to another. I personally think it was hard enough switching from T-mobile to Verizon and then back to T-mobile (I actually gain money from it) but I wouldn't want to go through that headache again.
Re: Net Neutrality
How so? All I see in the future is ISPs prioritizing content for the people who pay more. Eventually this will turn into China were you can only watch what the government wants you to watch.
Re: Net Neutrality
Well, you are right, from now on we shouldn't be surprised about anything he does and will do.
Net Neutrality
Good bye, you will be missed.
Re: Cortana+headset=safe, hands-free driving
Never heard a complaint from my car's bluetooth and I drive a nissan rogue nothing fancy, but I understand what you're saying.
Re: Cortana+headset=safe, hands-free driving
Unfortunately some people don't even bother pairing their phones to the car's bluetooth. I don't know where you live, but here in NY, the amount of distracted drivers I see on a daily basis is staggering.
Re: Worthless
In a way I'm glad I didn't wait for this device. Once I heard that T-Mobile wasn't going to carry the Nexus 6p I figure some bs like this was going to happen. I really loved my moto Nexus 6, but Google dropped the ball with this one.
Re: Verizon bloat
More than likely, I tried Verizon for a month last year and the nexus 6 I got from them was full of it. It sucks that only Verizon will carry it. Since T-Mobile didn't carry the Nexus 6P or 5X I knew that this one would be the same story.
NFC
The problem is NFC readers which most retailers disable. I was trying to use samsung pay and because my chase card has a chip it would either decline the transaction or ask me to insert the card. I turned off NFC to use MST and it works like a charm, too bad only samsung pay supports it so far.
Re: What to do in the mean time?
I never leave the phone overnight, specially with the fast charger. I remember when I bought my Nexus 6 on release day a few weeks later they started complaining about the phones bulging when charger because of the batteries exploding. That's when I started using the turbo charger only when I was next to it or my moto 360 charger on my night stand which would take around 6-7 hours to fully charge. I intend to charge it while ...
Re: Carrier customer service number
Can I go through Samsung for the exchange or do I have to go through T-Mobile since I got the phone from them?
Re: Carrier customer service number
T-Mobile said that so far they're only offering refunds or exchanges for a different device. Samsung is offering the same but also a new revised note 7. I really like my note 7, I don't want a refund or change it for a different device, but I don't want to burn down my place either.
What to do in the mean time?
Should we stop using the phone, or maybe use a non fast charger?
Re: I'm not so sure about this....
There are no wrong people? "everyone deserves privacy"? I get what you're saying, but even people plotting against your country deserve privacy? Its really a fine line.
I'm not so sure about this....
don't get me wrong, I don't want anyone to see what I'm sending but the recipient, but making such an announcement, no one even the government won't be able to see your messages, kinda incites the wrong people to abuse the service. I think they should have just done it without making such a big fuzz about it. I could be wrong, but this is how I see it at the moment.
Re: ETF Lies
T-mobile offers a reimbursement of what it costs you to switch over, but at the end of the day you're responsible for paying the other carrier what you owe them for switching. T-Mobile gave me like $500 in bill credits for trading in my verizon phones when I switched (basically free service for 3 months) and two months later I received a prepaid Visa car with $1200, I actually made money on the deal because I only had to ...
Re: Given that what's written here is true
Not according to the definition of Net Neutrality "the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites." They're not favoring any service over the other, they're just lowering the video resolution for members who opted for Binge On service. I believe that T-Mobile's first mistake was enabling the service by default on all subscribers (which I got several texts on all ...
Re: There's a Difference
But that's just it, nobody is forcing anything on anybody without telling you. bingeon is optional, and you can turn it on and off whenever you want. I got a text on all my numbers explaining the details of the new service and giving me the option to opt out. I opted out all my numbers except my wife's since she eats data watching videos. I don't see the issue with any of it.
Re: Garbage
Also 0% interest on financed equipment. These groups are just asking for attention.
Re: Phoney BS
Is this sarcasm or you're defending Verizon?
Re: "Verizon will allow people with these old unlimited plans to purchase devices...
It is the same thing with verizon, if you get your phone through installments and decide to leave the company, the entire balance becomes due, so I don't understand what you're trying to say.
Re: A Little Much
Verizon did, it says so on the article. Also, I don't know how big T-Mobile's 911 outage was, but Verizon's lasted for 6 hours and they only got fined $3.4M? https://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.p hp?a=15495
Re: $800 and what?
LOL you calling me an android fanboy, and look who comes to Apple's rescue? I had the first 3 generations of iPhones, and the truth is that I got tired of paying a premium price for last year technology and features. Whatever you say about Android fans/users could be said about Apple fan/users (which you just demonstrated how they act when the name Apple comes up in a sentence). BTW jerking off to phones is not my thing no ...
Re: $800 and what?
I could say the same thing about an iphone 6 Plus, $949 for the 128GB version. Oh wait, because its an "apple product" designed in california and made in china, its fine. I'm not saying that I agree with the price of these phones, but at least this company is doing something different instead of catching up to the rest like apple with the iphone.
Re: WOW! I bet no other carrier can beat that at the same price point...
I tried verizon for a month, their service sucks, voice quality sucks, and their prices suck. I switched back to t-mobile, got the $650 credit and I still have the $400 credit from verizon when I first ported from t-mobile. My monthly veryzon bill was $236 a month for 2 lines (wigth EDGE) with 15GB of data because 10GB weren't enough. The truth is that verizon service compared to t-mobile's service is not worth an extra $100 a month. ...
Re: Can't wait...
You sir took the words out of my mouth.
Re: Yawn
I guess you can now lower your data plan, and start accumulating while on wifi for that rainy day
Re: Yawn
with all the stuff they are giving us, they have to make more money somewhere, otherwise they'll disappear. I understand what you are saying, but come on, let them make some money so they can invest on infrastructure.
Re: Yawn
You spend $250 a month for something that already gives you data (at no extra charge) that you agreed to before the data stash even existed. So you really are asking for more features for the same money. Go see how much more you'll be paying on a different carrier with the features you already have, they probably can match it. I think is a really nice feature, if you pay for extra data you can stash whatever is ...
Re: Blah
Yeah, that's true. No wonder every store I called told me that they haven't received any emails about a November 12 launch day. Lets hope T-Mobile is doing this to build inventory. I'm really exited about the new Nexus.
Re: Blah
I was so hipped about getting it tomorrow. Suck that att and sprint will get it first.
Re: "...consumers have no reason to worry"
No doubt about that. I always keep my phone in my back pocket when wearing jeans, but I take it out if I want to sit down, you can call it a reflex. Its really likely to happen with any phone if you are not careful. I remember when I was working in sales and the motorola RAZR was the rage, I would get customers back all the time with cracked screens or split phones (when they put them ...
Re: "...consumers have no reason to worry"
Well, you putting it inside of your pocket the wrong way. That's what they mean by "under normal use" lmao.
Re: Catching Up
What I think the issue is with Android, is the UI that manufacturers add on top of it. I used to love HTC sense, but it got boring with the HTC one m7, and I've never liked Samsung's touchwiz (or however you spell it). On that department I think that iOS has the edge, but if you compare it with vanilla android, I go for Android hands down. I currently own a Nexus 5, and I've never had any ...
Re: Catching Up
You're really comparing a galaxy nexus (a 3 year old phone) to an iphone 5s?
