So I finally called apple and took advantage of my apple care plan. I got my replacement 3gs phone today. So far...signal is back to normal. I have not synced my information to the new phone. I wanted to test for a day or so to make sure it functions as it should, in case I have an app or something is the cause of my problem.

I've put my sim in my moto Q and have not seen the same problem on the display, but can tell the call quality isn't as good. I've got some pops that sound like low signal noise in my ear piece.
A friend's wife that works at cell one tells me that ATT has ended their agreement to use cell one towers in this area. and that ATT has also restricted use of the towers that ATT does have of ...
Call Failed issues - east texas
For the past week I've had major issues with my iphone 3gs. singnal goes from full strength to searching, to no service, then back to full strength.
I've got nothing but BS from tech support. I can't figure out if something is wrong with the network or my phone.
I've swapped sim cards, restored the software on my phone, and they've sent some kind of over the air update to my phone ( i think it got worse after that). Also, ...

I'm having the exact same problem. We have an iphone and a Magnet.
Full signal or 1 bar on my iphone. Seems to "go to sleep" on the network when not being used, then "wakes up" when I starting using AIM.

It's not an issue of security, it's an inconvenience to me to give all that info out to someone when they don't need it.
"welcome to at&t.... can someone help you?" would be the correct way to greet a customer. If the customer says yes, then fire away. If the customer says no, then back off and let them browse.

My last 3 visits, I've gone to the store just to test the iphone. And by test I mean I was texting myself to see if I was getting better at typing without a keyboard.
Every time I go to a store, any store, of any type of business....I know exactly what I'm looking for, or have an idea of what I'm looking for.
It's like calling into customer service of any business....first ...you get the automated menus that want ...

My point is I don't appreciate being dry humped the instant I walk in the door. When i first switched to AT&T they didn't do that, and customers were still being taken care of just fine. My sales guy then.... walked up after a few minutes of browsing. I need to be able to dertermine what I need help with before I know WTF to ask.

Just saw that AT&T has pulled the Q9h from their site, and motorola shows the phone out of stock on their site.
Any news on a new version? I've googled, and all I see are old press releases.
I was about to but the silver Q, the most recent version, but lost the race. There are a few on ebay, but would prefer to buy new or refurb.
att reps stalkin customers
So I like att...but I hate having to go in and get molested as soon as I walk in the door...asking for my name and phone number....I swear it feels like calling into customer service and giving name number and last four of my social. This is worse than car salesmen. Can a customer not browse any more?

Re: Loss of signal problem turns out to be good news.
I got a text message about a month ago saying that new towers had been activated in my area. but for the last week I've had drop outs here at the house. the 3G icon has popped up a few times within the last 3 months. So maybe it's the same situation for me. I plan to call in to ATT tomorrow and complain about the siganl loss...maybe they will fill me in.

Had anyone tried the update? How is it working for you? do you like 6.1 or 6 better?

I heard today from a friend that called into get unlimited text and they were denyed. Saying that most carriers are dumping it. Is there any truth to that?

You can turn the flash on when you want to use it...and off when you don't want to use it. I have never used my camera witht he flash.
Open up the camera view....then press the menu button....scroll down and you'll see the flash option.

I've had the Q9 since November. I upgrade from a samsung i730 phone that I had for 2 years on verizon.
I researched phones for several months and new the q9 was the one for me. I think I had the first one in my area.
It's very easy to use and is packed with features. The only thing it's missing is wifi...but if you have a data package...you don't need that anyway.

I had a 730 on verizon...kept it for two years before switching to at&t and getting the moto Q9. It was a great phone...I just missed out on some features because I kept it so long.
Windows Mobile 6 is much better and much more user friendly. I think you'll like it much more than going to the Iphone.

I've had my Q since November. The first one I got I had to replace after a few days.

I use xpress mail with a yahoo account. I have it set to keep a copy of messages on server so I can retrieve messages on my computer later if I want to.
It has seperate folders for delete sent and drafts than what is on the online portal. so it tracks what you do from the phone.

If you don't get more than a day on a full charge....you're on your phone way too much. Or you have a bad battery or something.
I can go a day and a half to 2 days without a charge. That's with a lot of texting, checking email, web surfing, and a few calls on the slim battery.

I had this problem with my i730 too. I would have to reset a few times before it would function. I had the i730 for over 2 years and the problem developed about the last 6 months.
