currenty my bill for alltel is for 3 phones sharing 2000 AT minutes, m2m, n&w, 1000 pic,txt,vid messages/phone, and 25 mycircle numbers = ~$145/mo
Any other carrier even come close to this price?

Coverage with alltel was actually pretty good in my area. It all started back with midwest wireless...those were the days, lol. Alltel bought them out in 05..3 companies in the same market within 5-6 years.. its apparent big business wins in the cell biz...

I live in NW iowa and have to make a choice. To pick a phone out of the lousy choices Alltel offers me for a 1-year contract, or wait until the merger with AT&T is complete, or switch companies all together. Since this is one of the markets verizon was forced to divest, I'm 99% sure there is no 3g in my area.. so that rules them out.. and Sprint also has no service in my area...

My region up for sale?
This is bull, I live in NW Iowa, and my region is up for sale because the FCC thinks that the my region won't have enough "competition". I was perfectly happy with Alltel, and will be dissappointed if some small company will buy them out.
Anyone know say in this area if it is possible to stay with verizon?
RAZR2 V9m price drop! $199
I just noticed that the razr2 has dropped to $199. This makes the phone much more competitive with the ROKR z6m. I personally prefer a flip phone, and have been waiting for the v9m to drop in price. What do you think of the v9m, and is it worth it now that it is only $70 more than the ROKR??
Also, do you think that the price will drop anymore before x-mas? It has dropped 100 ...
Samsung u740?
Does anyone know if a phone like the samsung u740 (the dual flip) is going to come out for alltel, or if any other new phones will be coming out? I am looking at a new phone, but the razr2 doesn't seem worth the 300 price tag. I'm sitting here patiently waiting for a phone to strike my eye. :paranoid:
