as of today 11-09-09 does the verizon version have a 3.5 jack?
ok what's the story, i keep hearing different version with different jacks, I hope it does come with the 3.5 jack already, i'm tired of all these stupid adaptors and plugs and garbage that keep popping out when i am at the gym already

Hold on, did you just say 3.5mm jack on the touch pro 2, or just the touch pro? if you meant 3.5 and not 2.5 then great, but why am i reading cons on other reviews saying there is no 3.5mm jack?

I have a winmo phone and am looking into getting the new moto droid by verizon, but i need to know how good is the browser on android systems, does it open up everything like the skyfire browser? and does anyone know if android supports the slingmedia for slingbox application?

That's the thing, tp2 never launched in the stores, and now only 6 wks after it went online, they say they have 0 in stock. I wonder what is the holdup? And yes winmo vs android is the question. I'd like to see specs and reviews soon, I might just go with a tp2 from ebay if verizon doesn't put them out already.

So this phone doesn't have gsm? How about a 3.5mm jack? Will the browser have a flashplayer like skyfire? Does the screen tilt? Can it support slingbox? I had my heart set on the htc touch pro 2 which does all of the above, but verizon seems to want to be out of stock and I don't know if the pros of the droid will outmatch the TP2 features I like. Any input on this matter?

what's going on with this phone, I was hoping to buy it from customer service and they told me they had none in stock as well. And I went to the store, nada but they did have the imagia, the salesman was trying to pitch it to me, but it has no qwerty keyboard. I just saw a pic of the motorola android due to launch oct 28, looks similar to the pro 2. Could this be a reason?
What's the story with verizon ? why hasn't it launched in the stores ?
I am confused about this, I got a quote about a month ago for this phone from a verizon operator, and today i was ready to buy and they said they had zero in stock, and no idea whether they would restock. Then, no store around me had it all.. What's going ? ?

yea what's up with that ? I just tried today to buy one right from customer service and the operator told me there were zero in stock for 500 miles around me. I was like what ? And it hasn't launched in the stores at all, i am totally confused , was looking forward to this phone, what is going on ? ?

i haven't installed a card yet but it says 8gig total in my storage card tab, and the very small mb number for main storage, so which one is it, does the card add to the internal storage capacity? why does it show 8 gig already in my storage card tab, i haven't put anything in there yet
memory question
I am confused about the memory that this phone brings and whether or not it comes with a card. when i access memory from the day screen, i see 8 gig total in "storage card" and in main memory- 88.17 MB total storage, and 97.35MB total in program. Is there a card already in my storage slot, I thought the phone itself had 8 gig internal memory which is probably true although i haven't bothered to open it up ...
podcast question
when i downloaded a music podcast, i wanted to store it in my storage rather than the phone's main memory. that's where it wound up but i don't see it in my podcast library, i can get the music to play using the quickplayer, but i wanted to separate it in the podcasts folder, did I make an error when storing it?

i was about to do that, but like you said the bigger screen made the difference,. however if the storm or a newer blackberry that supports slingbox, or a newer omnia with at least a slideout keyboard comes out, i'm jumping on it..

tap the widget alert, open it, and reply. If you want to quicktext back, save some custom texts like "can't talk now ,driving" or "call you later" and you call them up with your thumb from menu on the reply screen and do the whole thing with one hand

it's all good, I found out that it does but the phone is outdated.. not nearly as much memory as the omnia which i picked up and the slingbox is awesome!
texting issue
I just have my omnia over a week and texts weren't a problem. Now I am getting some missent texts, people aren't receiving them some of the time and I'm wondering why not.. anyone have a clue?

took care of that with gmail, yahoo, and aol, works for all of them, hotmail won't even set up like the other ones, i might have to upgrade my hotmail service, ridiculous

thx for ur help. unfortuantely, it's not accessing the hotmail that's the problem, it's the having it push the alert to my phone, amazingly, it's not doing this. initially when using the phone's email set up, instead of doing an automatic set up, it directs me to a link http://windowsmobile.com/emailsetup/live, which then opens up the phone's opera browser and directs me to a hotmail log in. i got access but couldn't figure out how to get alerts. I ...

it did, but if you leave it on for too long the screen and all buttons lock up, had to remove battery and reboot
Mobile IM problem
i am getting an "error 54" everytime i try to log into my windowslive mobile IM. I am entering my exact email, password, and it just doesn't want to log in.. this is blowing my mind. I'm trying really hard to like this phone, can anyone help?
Using opera
how can i get the most out of opera? to create bookmarks? is that it? from what i understand i can visit my emails, and facebook, but what do i have to do to receive alerts. i have a simple hotmail account, any other non smartphone has mobile email built in, and blackberry's have the facebook app.. everytime i try to add a new email, it send me to a link that opens up opera, gets my hotmail page ...

good point, I also got screwed with the storm, i asked the sales rep and he made it clear to me that it would support slingbox. It doesn't. I took it back and got the omnia, I've just had it for a few days now, am having trouble assigning my hotmail to it. Also, do you know if this phone can get a facebook shortcut?

thx for the info, ironically, i went out yesterday and bought the freaking storm 9530 version, and just , just found out it doesnt support slingbox , unreal, but i will go back today and exchange it for the omnia, unbelievable outcome, but hopefully i will like the omnia, i just felt one day the typing was awkward when i tested it out

I just bought this phone yesterday assuming because it is 3g and verizon is the "best" at what it does and the damn thing shows me no slingbox capability.. is this true ? can someone help me b4 i go running back and return this phone
Dash Board magnet good or no good?
I just got a storm, i used to use a voyager and mounted it to my dashboard with the cell phone magnets. Will that work with the storm or will it screw it up?
