Toy Story 3 was the best one yet. It was funny, sad, suspensful.. and it was the first animated movie where I almost cried. Bad comparison :x

I have the moto Droid on vzw and love sporting stock android. Would the g2 be the only phone coming out this year without a stupid manufacturer skin? It looks like I might open up a new line with tmo if that is so..

I assumed this was already happening as I've been installing apps daily and have yet to receive a 'memory full' message. How many apps can you install on the moto DROID? I have about 200 so far..

Flash Support??

That's amazing! I've never used a mobile browser with Flash Support. Imagine? YouTube! StickDeath! HomeStarRunner!! All on your cellphone. I think once this browser comes into effect, then Verizon Wireless will begin to require a data plan on regular phones as well. Any guess as to which phone will be the first to release this device?

Ok, so from what I understood is that the government can track you down if you're in a cellphone coverage area using 'triggerfish' technology. Disabling GPS would do nothing to help you if you're on the run.. is that right?

I guess the best thing to do is to call your local VZW store and ask for when they'll be opening that day. I called the store in my area and they said they were opening at 6 am! I hope I don't have to camp out to get one.. I'm gonna drive by the night before and see what's up.

Re: Storm on T-Mobile?
Nov 9, 2008, 11:09 PM
in the BlackBerry forum

The FCC just recently approved the Blackberry Storm (GSM only). So you can purchase a Storm unlocked and wouldn't have to switch! The only downside is that it won't offer 3G since the Storm approved was the Vodafone version which only supports European 3G. So if you're fine w/ EDGE, then ur in luck!

Re: Question for Call Center Folks
Nov 8, 2008, 8:40 PM

Unfortunately VZW does require to have people on the phones everyday of the year. What I've noticed is that some call centers switch holidays you work. For example: if you work Christmas, then u would have New Years off or vice versa.

Re: disappointed by the last bill after termination of service
Oct 17, 2008, 5:59 AM
in the Verizon forum

Normally, there's not much you can do because the user agreement states that disconnections including port-outs will be processed on the last day of your cycle (5th paragraph: Your Rights to Change or End Your Service; Termination Fees; Phone Number Portability). Now since you were 3 days within your cycle, you can attempt to call and see if they can issue some kind of courtesy credit.. but it will be really up to the rep and if something is ...

Re: Problems in the future?
Oct 15, 2008, 4:28 PM
in the Article: Hands-On: BlackBerry Storm forum

Of course with every new handset there will be some kind of glitch or lag, mainly s/w issues. It's a good thing that once s/w issues do arise, they can be easily fixed thru a s/w update. Hardware problems are most rare than s/w problems. If there was a major hardware problem then the device would most likely be recalled. Blackberry is known for quality. Not much to worry about if you want to be among the first to ...

You have to accept the two year agreement within 30 days of purchasing the phone or else you'll be receiving a nice little full retail charge back on your next bill. After that, you can wait as long as you want to activate the phone.

Re: Blackberry question...
Oct 12, 2008, 11:27 AM
in the Verizon forum

Blackberry devices, including the Storm, do require a data plan. 3 options: $24.99 10MB, $29.99 Unl Internet and Email (BIS), and $44.99 Unl Internet and Email (BES). None of these plans include text messaging. The reason Verizon Wireless requires a data plan for Blackberry is because Blackberry devices are always hooked up to the network (Push email, notifications). If users had a choice to be under a PayAsYouGo option, then there would be a lot of Blackberry data ...

Oct 2, 2008, 10:05 AM

That's what happened to my phone! I have the LG VX9400 though. My phone would turn off, I would turn it on and then it would just turn off after 10 seconds. I was able to fix the issue by deleting the app within those 10 seconds of the phone being on - Loopt sucks for LG phones.

Seriously. If they don't want Sprint calling their Xohm network 4G, then I believe they shouldn't call their HSPA network 3G since it doesn't really provide 3G speeds.

This reminds me of a call I had about 2 weeks ago. I've never had to call customer service for anything big, but I wonder how far I could go with it.. I received a call from this woman. Friday the 19th? But that was yesterday! As we all know now, it's not the release date. Friday the 19th (yesterday) is when Verizon Wireless started their 'Sign up online to get updates on the Storm and start receiving Storm mailers' campaign. Super excited for this phone. Cannot wait until it comes out!!

ok.. I called customer care and they told me that the service isn't actually out right now- pretty much verizonwireless.com is just preparing for the actual launch. I'm guessing that's when the Refresh model/V10 is out.

Re: Upgrade now or wait?
Jun 27, 2008, 12:36 AM

If you're a secondary or primary line on your family share plan, then that will determine if you're eligible for a New Every Two credit which is $50 or $100 (depends on ur plan; primary lines only get the NE2). I do know VZW offers a VIP program for the northeast area, however, it doesn't give you an additional credit towards the purchase of a phone.. unless you're doing an annual upgrade (early upgrade). Whatever you're eligible for is ...

Re: Verizon Wireless in talks to buy Alltel Communications for $27B (Interesting)

VZW would benefit so much from this purchase. Even if they don't get the 13 million customers, who cares? like you said, they can just grow. The main thing would be getting all that spectrum. There's a bunch of roaming areas that VZW has agreement w/ Alltel- VZW coverage would be massive!

When companies get bought out, what happens to the employees, service locations, and the handset line-up? Do Alltel employees auto-become VZW employees? or do they have to go and apply to be a VZW employee? Are the locations just converted or they just disappear? Anyone know?.. what happened when at&t bought Cingular.
