Amen... I just want to add one thing to this. There is a 6 month period the customer has to keep the product or service for us to truly get paid. If we were all just lying to get people out the door with something, they would figure out that they were lied to. They would return or cancel, and we get a charge back and we dont get to keep the money.

I wouldn't know about dealers and 3rd party. Ive only seen what happens on the COR level.
Also, every merger is a "buyout". Its just a nicer way of saying it.

I work for at&t in a corporate store and i went through the att wireless to cingular merge and the cingular to the new att merge. My guess is this is going to be like the att wireless and cingular merge where they are bringing together 2 different wireless companies. They are not going to force anyone out of their contract or plan, but if you need to make any changes, like getting a new phone, changing your plan, ...
